Extended Stay America Select Suites Jacksonville Southside

The service was impeccable and I would recommend Extended Stay America all of my friends. With Stacey and Geena at the front desk, this business is managed effectively!! The room is clean and all appliances work well, the water pressure is perfect and water heater is operational. No complaints.

Asked for a first floor nonsmoking room. I have a bad knee and going down stairs hurts. Received a second floor room that is filthy and smells like an ashtray. Went out to dinner and when I got back to the room, the key did not work. Had to go up and down the stairs to get another key. Asked for 5 keys so I did not have to go up and down the stairs every time I had to open the door. Was told that I could only have two. Then I was scolded for getting upset when the clerk would not help me. Jacksonville has lots of hotel competition. I will not be back.

Ac is cold and staff is nice Location is great right next to town center. Walking distance from restaurants, clean parking lot. Family of ducks that sticks around. Non-threatening Modern laundry room.

I should have listened to the reviews. I picked this property for the location. It is convenient to restaurants, shopping, and I295. The exterior looks nice. I was immediately put off when I entered the room. It smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. There was no shower curtain. The linens were cheap and flimsy. Live and learn.

Worst one night experience I have ever had in any hotel. Needed a place to stay for one whole night, figured the St. Johns Towncenter wouldn't be bad as I used to live in that area. Boy, was I wrong. I arrived to find blood in the bathtub along with mold in the bathroom itself, and it was very obvious the room had not been cleaned well, if at all. We opened the kitchen cabinet and roaches scattered, and the inside of the microwave had food splattered all over it. By some act of charity, my boyfriend ended up having to take me to the ER that night due to a kidney infection, so from 11 pm-3 am I got to rest in a clean emergency room. Got out of the place as soon as we woke up the next morning. Sent an email with photos, etc and never heard back.
