The Yearling cabins are our favorite get away and in fact held our wedding there. The cabins are so quaint, clean and the firepit by Cross Creek offers a time where you can totally relax. We will continue to stay frequently and recommend this location to anyone who wants to relive that old Florida fish camp experience. Food at the restaurant is very good. An overall wonderful experience

This was a last minute overnight stay. We arrived after 8pm and were greeted by not one but 2 very friendly employees. After checking in, I mentioned we were hungry, and they stated their was still time for dinner in their restaurant. We were seated at our table and ordered our dinner. My wife ordered the fried shrimp, and I ordered the rib eye steak. The house salad came with cranberries and mandarin orange slices. Delicious! Our entrees soon followed, and my steak was cooked to perfection. My wife's shrimp dinner was plentiful, and the shrimp were very large. After dinner we were shown to our cabin and the room was very neat, nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable. I slept like a baby. All in all this was a great choice in an area where there aren't many highly reviewed hotels. A nice hidden treasure well worth the visit.

This is a cabin, not a motel room, so as expected sort of rustic. Very clean room, comfortable bed, good water with good pressure. Kitchen area had all the necessary amenities. TV had very clear reception with lots of channels. Scenic setting with outdoor fireplace available, near water. But, with outside temperatures in the 30's, the heater was unable to get the room above 63 degrees.

I booked a cabin here for my boyfriend and I to stay at for his birthday. Upon our arrival, we thought it was cute and tidy. As the evening went on, we noticed there were cockroaches everywhere from the silverware drawer, to coming out of the sink drain, then to top it off… we went to go lay down in the bed and realized there were numerous bugs under the sheets. It was too late in the night to leave and no one was around. So, we stayed on the couch until 5am. I went to go use the restroom and a cockroach came out from under the toilet seat and started crawling everywhere. They were also in the shower. Needless to say… at 5am we got our stuff and left to drive home. I have tried to reach out to the property numerous times to get a refund or something and no one has responded to me. Mind you, we are Florida natives and understand cockroaches do come inside. However, this was more then a few cockroaches inside the cabin and completely unacceptable. Highly do not recommend.

I stayed in cabin 6 called Cross Creek for 2 nights 07/30-08/01/2021 and very much enjoyed the cabin and grounds. Cabin 6 is attached to another unit, which was occupied, and I never heard a peep. That one is #5 Golden Apples. The cabins are 1940-50's era. #6 was comfortable and clean and appropriately rustic. It's also the closest to Cross Creek itself. In the shade by the water it remained cool and I enjoyed sitting and reading and enjoying a few beers and watching what passed by on the creek and the changing light on the cypresses etc. Wifi and cell service....spotty at the very best. The restaurant is where I checked in and I ate there twice. Booking was through the Yearling Restaurant's website. It's a bit of a drive to any real stores, so bring in what you need. It was a very pleasant experience and a good value and I will happily return.
