The front desk young lady has a language problem understanding English. Although she is very nice with a pleasant smile, her comprehension to simple questions presented problems. Passing the buck by this company is very commonplace. It also occurred with the nighttime desk staff. They make statements like, you know what hotel lingo means. The food is average. The rooms are nice. The gym, although small is very accommodating. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The blanket that they had stored in a closet was old and ratty.

After booking this hotel on line we were very disappointed in this particular Residence Inn. We have stayed at several different Residence Inn’s in the past and were extremely satisfied. However, this Residence Inn I-75 was not as it was portrayed. We enjoy the usual format which is a kitchen with dinnerware, glasses, silverware, and pots and pans. I should have looked around when I saw the ice maker was not working and there were no ice trays in the freezer. When I realized I did not bring my dog’s food I ran down to Target and picked up some chicken to cook. Again, I should have checked for a pan before leaving because there were none. With the package of chicken breasts open my husband ran down to the front desk where he was told previous clients must have taken them and no they didn’t have any to lend us. I was able to find a bowl to cook them in the microwave. I also noticed some of the dinnerware and glasses were gone along with mugs. After this ordeal I decided to climb into bed. Fortunately, I brought a robe because I had to sleep with that on since all there was on the bed were sheets and thin, cotton cover. It would have been nice to have a blanket.I didn’t want deal with the front desk so I didn’t mention it. We were in Gainesville taking our dog (Cooper a Bichon) to the Veterinary School so we were all stressed to begin with. I just know when we go back we will be looking into something a little nicer, probably newer and hopefully cleaner.

I'll start with what should be obvious: This hotel is located RIGHT off the highway, so YES there is road noise. I personally found it to be relaxing, like a white noise machine, but I could absolutely see it being a problem if there was a lot of traffic and honking. Thankfully that wasn't my experience, but if you are noise sensitive? Find somewhere else to stay. As for me? I would absolutely stay here again because I think the noise honestly helped me sleep more soundly. Again, it was like a white noise machine for me. The suites are AWESOME if you're like me and want to have a kitchen. I love being able to prep my food and save on costs there. The space is laid out really really well. You get a lot of room, even if you were traveling with others, and there's a full kitchen. I was able to get groceries (I walked over to Publix) and stocked my fridge for the week. It was really nice to have that option. And the free breakfast was fabulous too. Every morning there were a couple of fresh, hot options (my favorites were the mini omlettes and the quiche muffin/egg bite type thing), oatmeal, eggs, a meat, fresh fruit, a waffle maker, bagels and toast and english muffins, hard boiled eggs, cereal, milks, yogurts, etc. Definitely not just your standard continental fare. I have to say, though, I think my favorite thing (ok, maybe second favorite, because my FAVORITE might have to be all the super friendly pups that were also staying there and were so polite) was honestly how wonderful every single staff member was. I arrived stupidly early for check-in and was able to leave my suitcase with them while I went to work, rather than having to lug it all over with me. I came back later and got checked in pretty quickly. Every single person who worked that front desk during my stay made me feel welcomed and valued, even if it was just by saying a quick hello as I came and went. The housekeepers were also so so so sweet and kind and friendly. Everyone smiles and greets you, which is just really nice, especially when travelling alone. It's nice to know they've got an eye out for me. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who needs to be in the area and doesn't mind a smidge of road noise. Oh, one last thing: I didn't use the pool while I was there, but it looked like a really nice area to relax in.

No amenities. No hot tub. Pool is not heated as stated on website. No restaurant or bar. Breakfast is more like a Hampton Inn. No coffee after breakfast. Rooms are big and clean. Staff is friendly. Market is the frozen meals. A few soft drink and some bottled wine not a typical Marriott experience. I would choose drury inn or staybridge suites next time.

Good location off I-75. New redecoration; the development since we stayed in April 2024 have corrected almost all discrepencies in my previous review. Kitchen supplies are OK (but only 1 pot), otherwise fine & dandy. The area is crowded with highrise motels, but the grounds are nicely landscaped.
