Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft Myers Beach Sanibel Gateway an IHG Hotel

Lots of parking Comfortable bed Clean Tram to beach super convenient Close to Walmart Breakfast got predictable after a few days Housekeeping staff were loud Our room was not made up 2 out of 5 days Shower needed more pressure It suited our needs!

I made a reservation through AA hotels on my phone for Jan 5 but the reservation came up on the receipt for Jan 13 a week out. AA Hotels called the front desk thinking it was a small formality to bring the reservation in a week on a non-busy night and they refused. I contacted the front desk myself, they refused and refused to put me in contact with a manager on duty. I asked for a manager less to be obnoxious than to resolve a problem with IHG’s IT or training. This was not an actual cancelation where the hotel would have lost money. The vast majority of hotels would have handled this differently. Stay far away from this hotel which is in a bad location with an operations issue.

Water temp was just warm , slightly warm . The phone in room did not work , 314 . So went down . Lady was nice and was immmediately given another room on the same floor but I checked it first and the water temp was the same . Was able to have a quick wake up shower but it wasn’t pleasant . Overall a good experience but something wrong with the water temp.

Better than an expensive hotel! Super clean, great continental breakfast, quiet, convenient to Ft. Myers beach and the Key West Express. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend and will be back next time I am in the area!

A very nice modern hotel,The rooms are large and comfortable with large screen tv's,Nice comfy beds and everywhere was very clean,The front desk staff were very friendly as were all the employees,The breakfast was very good,We were there for 3 nights and never got bacon it was sausage every morning (pork or turkey),There are no restaurants in the vicinity that I could see however there is a Walmart within a couple of minutes drive,Fort Myers beach is undergoing a large scale rebuilding project due to hurricane damage so beware of that if you want to go to the beach,Would we stay there again yes in a heartbeat if we are in the area.
