Quaint hotel with basic but very tranquil facilities. Staff is super nice, the rooms are clean. Lots of little pools and hot tubs. It’s away from the crazy busy part of the strip. Minutes walk from the beach. We would come back. The only drawback for me was the bright lights on the balcony that made the room feel like it was daylight already and that was waking me up. Solution would be better curtains to cut the light. Otherwise super chilled ambience that was most welcomed

Our recent stay at The Winterset Suites can only be described as a harrowing experience that left me questioning the integrity of their business. The online images and reviews painted a picture of a charming and comfortable motel, but the reality was far from it. Upon entering the room, the first thing that caught my attention was the cracked tile floors, which seemed like a hazard waiting to happen. The sunken beds, reminiscent of sleeping on a hammock, provided no comfort whatsoever. It felt as though the mattresses had seen better days and were desperately in need of replacement. The bathroom was a breeding ground for disgust, with mold growing freely in every nook and cranny. The leaking sink made the entire space a perpetual wetland, leaving the floor slippery and hazardous. I couldn't help but wonder if the management was aware of the potential health risks associated with such unsanitary conditions. Venturing outside, the pool area was a further testament to the motel's neglect. The pool itself was a sorry sight – run down and void of any semblance of maintenance. Attempting to unwind at the end of the night proved to be a futile endeavor, as the TV apps were non-functional. It was infuriating to realize that even the simplest of amenities were not up to par. Adding insult to injury, the room itself was tilted, creating a disorienting and uncomfortable environment. Many lights didn't work, plunging the room into darkness and adding another layer to our already dismal experience. Complaints to the management were met with a visit from a representative who, to her credit, acknowledged the appalling conditions. However, the motel had no better alternative accommodations available for the night. This left us with no choice but to endure the nightmare we had unwillingly checked into. Promised callbacks the next few days turned into a waiting game, with the management consistently failing to follow through. It's disheartening to think that an establishment can operate with such blatant disregard for the well-being and satisfaction of its guests. In conclusion, our experience at The Winterset Suites was a lesson in the importance of verifying online reviews and not falling victim to deceptive advertising. This motel is a prime example of how a seemingly charming facade can mask the reality of a dilapidated and poorly managed establishment. Save yourself the trouble and seek accommodations elsewhere!!!!!

Had to kill a huge cockroach running around my room. Room was in an older building not on premises but rather offsite and around the corner and across the street from the main office (which is not always staffed). Outside entry to my room, door locks and opens with a code on the outside that never worked! I had to call the main office or run over there repeatedly to get someone to help. Each time they gave me different instructions on how to use the code. One time the lady on the phone said "Oh yeah this is the door that we always have problems with." No comforter on the bed. No live TV. Pools are small and dirty. Windows are plate glass shutters falling apart. Late at night I was awakened by a huge crash like a pane of glass shattering. Then people talking for a long time right outside my room - repairing something but brought his friend along so they could gab and I could hear every word of it. At midnight. I left a day early because I could not stand to stay in that room one more night.

Very good budget hotel. All the basics. Two blocks from beach. Two pools at our location plus hot tubs. Quite a few iguanas, but they are cute. Only issues were that the bathroom door didn't fully close. And the bathroom needs a lil scrub. Nothing major. A really adorable cafe isn't far if you look it up, and prices are reasonable. Wear sunscreen! And be aware that some restaurants on the beach can be pricey but there is an Italian one up towards the marina that has pizza and pasta and is very reasonable.

We booked through Priceline and they prevent a review it seems so want to keep the lie going. Basically our room was in an older building adjacent to the one advertised so I have no proof that the rooms in this listing actually exist. Our room was old, unrenovated, smelled funky, had no working Wi-Fi, no parking spot for extra $10/day so we had to park alongside the manager in a half-spot. There was no trash can in the unit. $40 early check-in thank god we did not pay. $280 for one night was a ripoff.
