Stayed one night prior to cruise and also did a day room following our cruise due to a late night flight. We had four adults and four children (ages 3 and 6) for our stay. Pros: *Close to airport *Pool was perfect for our short stay *Breakfast included *Rooms were dated but fairly clean Cons: *Breakfast was a strange set-up. Needed a "ticket" to get into the buffet, maybe to keep track of how many guests eat there daily? Some guy walking around in a captain hat "helping" out and saying weird things to guests i.e. "Please leave your seats as soon as you finish your breakfast to free up room for other guests. It's much easier than me coming over and dragging you out of here by your ear!" I'm sure he was just trying to be funny but it came off as odd and unprofessional. *One particular staff member who helped with transportation out front was extremely rude--getting on the loudspeaker and speaking negatively about guests saying things like, "Okay everyone we have a Karen at the front desk complaining!!" which was blasted through the entire system throughout the hotel. Then, our private transportation was scheduled for 11:00 AM and it arrived at 10:30. When we got to the lobby at 10:45 (when the company directed us to do) one of the staff members blasted us over the loudspeaker and in front of the many other guests saying "How nice of you to finally show up!" *The gift shop nor front desk had any quarters to exchange to weigh our bags on the scale in the lobby. *They overbooked our shuttle to the airport which we had scheduled ahead of time. In an 11 passenger van they squeezed 16 of us in. One woman had her baby in her lap, my sister-in-law had her daughter in her lap, and my husband along with another man and his son were asked to stand in the back part of the van in the cargo area, but the driver had no issue buckling himself up for safety, of course. Overall, you get what you pay for. I would not return here and would just pay more to stay somewhere else nicer with a good reputation.

This probably couldn't have gone any worse. We arrived after our flight via the airport shuttle and after waiting in line for a representative, was told by the hotel manager that they didn't have a room for us. We were told there was a problem with our card (there wasn't) and that we would be shipped off to one of their 'sister sites'. I was presented with a receipt that appeared to have credited us for our room charge. But after our cruise we learned that we were charged the full amount to stay at the Quality Inn down the highway. That site had none of the amenities that we were looking forward to and had to pay out of pocket additional money to have food delivered since there was no restaurant at the Quality Inn. The manager did a really poor job in explaining the situation. I've called the corporate number and have a case pending to try and get my money back. Why would you charge somebody that didn't stay there??? We believe they simply overbooked the hotel for Easter week and shuttled us off to the Quality Inn.

I stayed here with friends, one of which did a show at a nearby venue. The room, bed and pillows were all comfortable. I requested a walk-in shower which they provided, and it was nice, the shower had a safety bar, so did the area opposite the toilet, which acted as a towel bar. Breakfast is 7-9:30, very generous with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, different kinds of breads, juices & coffee. If you want soda, there's a soda machine outside. The pool area is gorgeous, lots of lush greenery, chase lounges and table w/umbrella & chairs. The pool is cool, which is refreshing, not very deep - about 4.5' at the deepest. There's a gift shop AND you can purchase bottles of wine and hard liquor in the lobby! If you're taking a cruise, this place is only about 1.5 miles from the port. There's a guy who announces when the shuttles are there, you can't miss him because he has the volume up to max. Funny guy, just pay attention and you'll get to the ship on time. I wasn't there for a cruise, but this place does quite well because they get hotel guests going to and coming from a cruise. If you want to book a room here, BOOK EARLY! Also, check out the restaurant Marina 84, you can get there either from the front drive or through the lobby.

We stayed at Rodeway Inn 5 years ago and had a better experience. This hotel has gone down hill interims of check inn service, rooms and lousy shuttle service. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights before our cruise and got a day hotel after the cruise. Check in personnel are non enthusiastic, did give any information unless you requested it and clearly portrayed they did not enjoy their job. Room had gap between the door and light and sound came through easily. Air conditioner was quite loud which made it hard to sleep and during the second day stay the AC did not work. We called to get a ride from the ship port to the hotel 5 times and it took 1.5 hours for a 15 min trip. Each time they said the driver is at the port and will be there soon. NOT! On return to the Airport the driver stopped at a Walgreens and another store for a passenger to buy some type of beverage. There were 7 other passengers on the shuttle. I asked the driver why we are stopping and he said he is a paying customer. What! How rude and ridiculous! I spent 3 nights hotel and $99 plus $19 in taxes for 4.5 hours day stay to rest before our return flight. I guess we are not paying customers. I do not recommend this hotel unless you like disappointment. On a positive note, captain morgan at breakfast continues to be delightful and courteous and the shuttle organizer was informative and tried to be funny.

After an hour of my girlfriend sitting around in their lobby, at 1am two hours after I booked because she needed a place to stay in an emergency. They could take the time to communicate what the hold up was and were trying to work with booking.com on something that was not even they needed to address with booking.com.Their OWN POLICY was the issue. The security deposit paid up front at arrival. Didn’t say a word to my girlfriend I was on the phone the whole time with her. Asked her to pass the phone to them. Offered to cover charges. They said that the issue was that booking.com didn’t pay for it which doesn’t matter at this point. I booked the room if I had to pay them directly for the security deposit I was ready to do so but they were persistent that booking.coms booking didn’t cover it all which we were aware of at this point. An hour. Talking to the wrong people about payment we can make right in front of them. It took AN HOUR to communicate THEIR OWN POLICY to the right person. Actually mind blowing to ask the person who paid for the booking, to pay for the hotels security deposit as well, seems like a no brainer, but it took a while for them to get there for some reason . I understand they prefer you book through their website. I booked through booking.com because I’m not there, and it’s the easiest way to find what was available in my girlfriends area and she needed a place to stay . Actually the most painful wait ever, I was upset when I spoke I was called rude after I had already offered to pay the deposit right then and there and heard the same story for the third time and got annoyed. Genuinely the most interesting approach Ive ever seen from someone in customer service, not servicing the customer at all. Radio silence on an issue that should have been resolved when we first got to the front desk.
