Hampton Inn Amelia Island at Fernandina Beach

Lovely hotel within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This was my third time staying here and is my favorite place to stay in Florida as a family trip. Cody at the front desk was so helpful this trip with a few requests and was always so friendly. The rest of the staff was nice too. You can borrow beach chairs and towels for the day, free breakfast and cannot say more about the friendly staff!

This Hilton has poor customer service. I booked a King Room months in advance. When we arrived, per the check-in help, the Manager changed our room to a double queen. Of course, no one bothered to ask or even advise us there was a change. My husband is 6'2 and doesn't fit on a queen bed. They refused to switch us to the room we booked and paid for, stating they were oversold. She indicated the manager would call and discuss this. It's been two weeks with no call! My husband's feet hung off the bed. There was loud music outside, but they provided earplugs, so they knew this was a problem. The new Queen room was located directly across from the breakfast area, so we were woke to the smell of food, the clanking of plates and equipment, and other quests heading to breakfast. It was 5:50 in the morning. All in all we managed to get about 4 hours of sleep. It was a terrible experience, one I will never repeat. And, by the way, the breakfast was awful. I'm not sure you can call it food. I travel for business and usually have great experiences with Hilton Products, but this is the third bad experience in a row. What is wrong with Hilton?

A very nice Hampton Inn hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet, the public areas were decorated for fall, staff was friendly, full housekeeping and the continental breakfast was good. The hotel is located on Sadler Road. It's an easy walk (0.2 mile) down to the beach. Recommend walking down to there to watch a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. Short drives to the historic district of Fernandina Beach and to Ft. Clinch State Park.

Staff was friendly. Unfortunately Room was damp and smelled strongly of mildew. Ice bucket was dirty and no liner. Dampness of the room affected every aspect. Carpet linen. Caused our allergies to activate. The staff is very aware and are problem solving options to correct. We will not be able to stay there next visit due to these issues

We walked into the room and immediately saw the carpet needed a good cleaning, door knobs were rusty, greasy fingerprints all over desk top, mold on window curtains, hair all over the bathroom floor. House cleaning did come and wipe down the desk top. We showed pictures to manager and no compensation was offered, which leads me to think this is a common occurrence. After eleven years as a Hilton Honors Member, we have never seen a Hilton property in this condition.
