Comfort Suites Dunnellon near Rainbow Springs

We stayed in a king suite and upon entering the room we found yogurt cups and trash in the room waste pail as well as trash in the bathroom . We emptied it and reported it to the front desk and were told, “sorry, they must have forgot to empty it”. We hoped that the rest of the room was clean. The carpeting in the room was very soiled and in one area sticky like something sweet was spilled. We also noticed that the carpeting entering other rooms was also very soiled. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean, although the water in the sink was barely flowing at full force, barely enough to brush your teeth. In a positive light the morning staff was very pleasant and the breakfast area and staff were great. Breakfast was a bit nicer than the usual continental with yogurt parfaits and waffles large and smaller too. We did not use the pool or exercise areas. I think a bit of TLC is necessary here.

The price per pet per night was $30.00. This is outrageous. Hotels are ripping off pet owners. My pet is cleaner than most kids. Our room was dirty, water stained ceilings, smelled really bad. Had to buy room spray to help. We were there to do a little business so we put up with it. Would never stay there again.

I loved the bed and pillows. It was the best night of sleep I have had in a long time. Sammi was a wonderful front desk clerk. She was super fast and has a great personality. Everything was very clean and tidy in the lobby, and the rooms were very nice and spacious for the price compared to what's generally out there.

Pros: Very clean and overall a friendly and welcoming environment. Fast and easy check-in. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast lady was fast at keeping items stocked and clean. Comfortable beds and a quiet night. Cons: Employees smoking right outside of entrance is very distasteful and does not leave a good look. Came to front desk to checkout and no one is there. The housekeepers don’t really acknowledge guests

I was able to check in early with the lady Louise at the front desk was super sweet, breakfast was good and clean the staff member Dana was very helpful and kind . The room was nice and clean my only problem was the amount of times the staff is right outside the door smoking and you get hit in the face with the smoke as soon as you walk in or out disappointed when I have kids and they just didn’t care. Also there’s no Shade at the pool at all. I guess you have to request the umbrella to be brought out
