Residence Inn by Marriott Daytona Beach Speedway Airport

Had a wonderful experience with the Residence Inn here. It was a super busy week here in Daytona beach. Francine at the front desk was professional and cordial, went out of her way to help me. Thank you! I am a Marriott member and I love staying at the properties.

Was in town to deal with a death in the family while working remotely. While the hotel isn’t ‘bad’ I can’t call it ‘good’ either. Among many things that just didn’t work, the ‘high-speed’ wifi is atrocious. We had a technician look at it, a support ticket with their provider…yet still couldn’t use wifi while in our room. Hallway and Lobby work great if you don’t mind that inconvenience. I do mind. Other things that didn’t work: - Bathroom electrical outlet - Bedside electrical outlet - Bedside USB port - Stove too weak to boil water - Telephone (incoming fine, but no buttons work not even to clear the bright flashing messages light) - The hot tub was broken - No daily cleaning or coffee refills Again, not a bad hotel. No bedbugs or mold. But not a great hotel like other reviews imply. The lack of reliable internet affected my ability to work from the room while handling the grievous responsibilities of the death of my father in law. Not a good experience.

I stayed at the Residence Inn Daytona Beach Speedway/Airport on October 29th night. I was met at the front desk by Malcolm. I, along with other guests, found him to be rude and condescending towards myself and your other guests. As a Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium member with over 1500 nights in Marriott properties, I have never experienced such rude behavior by a Marriott-associated staff member. I hope this is not your normal level of service towards your guests. On a minor side note, you can check my initial pre-check-in message to him to add a guest to my room. His response could have been a little more polite, I was disappointed in his curt, ALL CAPS response. I simply dismissed this as it was before I arrived at the hotel. However his behavior during check in was unacceptable. My beliefs were confirmed when I heard the other guests in the lobby discussing the same. Perhaps a talk with Malcolm would yield you better reviews in the future and, more importantly, make your guests feel welcome.

This hotel is wonderful l! We stayed during Turkey Rod Run with our family, the hotel has a great location and rooms were clean modern with a great and delicious breakfast buffet! I would also like to give a big thank you to Kaitlin. She was amazing helping and assisting in every way we had a minor issue and her willingness to help and go above and beyond we will be coming here year after year! Thank you Marriott and special thanks to Kaitlin!

We are in Daytona a few times a year to see our son at ERAU. Always stay here because it’s walkable to the airport and campus and the staff are excellent. Well kept, clean, pool and other rec areas are great- there’s a grill and some rooms have ovens. I’ve baked cookies for the team in this hotel! Quick drive to the beach for sunrise if you have a car. Walkable to campus, the airport and many places for dining.
