Holiday Inn Express Crystal River an IHG Hotel

The hotel was very nice, staff were great. Very clean and just what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express chain. Breakfast was good also, and times were convenient for patrons. Hotel was close to places to eat, there is McDonalds, Subway and others. We didn’t swim as it was still chilly but the pool was nice.

Hotel was very clean. Staff very friendly and assistant manager Amy helped me with a minor issue by getting back to me after I left the hotel. I would ask to be away from a ice machine because it was a bit noisy and would love more hooks in the room bathrooms but especially like having fresh coffee, tea or hot chocolate in the lobby 24/7

Not exactly what I would call sparkling clean. Make sure you request a room away from elevators, stairs, or ice machines. I booked (through Expedia) in July for a February trip and they put me right next to the elevator. When I complained, they said I had not requested NOT to be near the elevator or ice machine and that the ONLY rooms they had open were that same room on other floors. Check in is at 4. We checked in at 4:30 and I saw that the clerk had 12+ other forms of people waiting to check in on his desk. I asked him to give me one of their rooms since I was sure all 12 of them had also not thought they had to specifically say they didn't want to be in the middle of the noisiest place in the hotel on Superbowl night. Grudgingly he did after confirming we had not even entered the originally assigned room.

This lovely, new, Holiday Inn Express has some of the most welcoming and helpful staff anywhere. We especially enjoyed the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of Amy, Alma, Jim, and Andrea. The beds are some of the most comfortable anywhere, which was very important to us. We will most certainly and enthusiastically be back!

This is great hotel. The staff is 5 star - and I know of what I speak. Look at my other reviews. The staff went way out of their way to accommodate. I would point out Mack, the maintenance person, who assisted me when I had a self-induced microwave incident. The front desk staff were all terrific. Most of time during the stay I was dressed very poorly with unkempt hair, etc. I was solely dealing with house the hurricane took out and looked that way. Completely non-judgmental. I have over 1,800 nights in hotels, qualifying for lifetime Marriott platinum under the old rules of 1,000 nights - so I have good reference points.
