Beachside Hotel & Suites

I had the pleasure of being served by Monica at the Beachside Hotel and Suites, and she truly made my stay unforgettable. From the moment I sat down at the bar, Monica greeted me with a warm smile and an incredible energy that instantly made me feel welcome. Her drink recommendations were spot on—she clearly knows her craft and takes pride in what she does. Each cocktail was perfectly mixed and beautifully presented. But what really stood out was her genuine hospitality. Monica goes above and beyond, not just as a bartender, but as someone who clearly cares about the guest experience. Whether she was juggling multiple orders or sharing a laugh with patrons, she handled everything with professionalism, grace, and charisma. If you’re staying at Beachside Hotel and Suites, make sure to stop by the bar and ask for Monica—you won’t regret it. She’s a true gem!

The bartender Thursday night should find a new job she is awful at customer service and making drinks. I waited over 30 minutes for a 16 inch pizza. Never came to the table to keep us updated or checked up on. We felt like she didn't care about us or our experience. Just kept doing nothing behind the bar. If it wasn't for Chris the security we would have never ended up with our pizza. It wasn't even warm anymore. Thank goodness for him and all the help he provided when it wasn't his job. He's amazing and we are thankful for him. The bartender never checked on us or even apologized for the ridiculous wait. I don't think she knew what she was doing. It was ridiculous and a joke. She should not be in the restaurant business or hospitality.

We decided on this hotel based on previous reviews. All I can say is the people who wrote those reviews saying it's five star must live in a cave. This is without question the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life and I am 72 years old and not a rich person. It was like something out of the 1950s, but not in a good way. There were no clothes hangers in the room. When I asked for some, they said they were a premium item and were not available. Seriously There were no clothes hangers in the room. When I asked for some, they said they were a premium item and we're not available. Seriously! Go to Walmart and buy 500 hangers and give them to People. We ended up going to a store across the street and buying 10 so we could hang up some of our clothing. The room we stayed in faced the parking lot, which is fine because the pool was so loud. You couldn't possibly want to be looking at that and hearing it all day. Lots of hazards all over the place. The room was dark and gloomy, the bathroom has one of those lights that turns the fan on at the same. It was loud and annoying and gave me a headache.. We were told the buffet had 50 items and it did, but there was not one healthy thing in there. Terrible waffles were made from some weird mix so they had no taste.I'm sure the eggs were powdered and mixed with water. They had no taste and were basically terrible. I could go on for a month. Do yourself a favour and pay extra money and stay in a good hotel.

This hotel is wonderful! My family and I stayed here before a cruise and I have so many good things to say about it! First, if you’re traveling with a family, you know how important it is to have activities and amenities. Beachside does not disappoint. They have a wonderful Lazy river that includes a wading pool perfect for little swimmers. There is also a large area with sand to play in, giant foursquare, cornhole, and lots of room for kids to run around. The beach is a quick walk across the street and you can borrow whatever you need for a great day in the sun. Rooms were well appointed and included a mini fridge, microwave, and two extra sinks. The location is very convenient too: a mini golf course is nextdoor, a grocery store across the street, and the original Ron Jon surf shop one block away. The property is well maintained and I enjoyed all of the beautiful flowers, including giant hibiscus bushes and jasmine that made everything smell delightful! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
