Meliá Orlando Celebration

We almost drove off and looked for other accommodations because of the lack of curb appeal which usually carries in to the rooms. We checked in anyway because we were tired from the trip. The room furnishings were old looking and not very comfortable, and matched the lack of appeal for the building itself. The one bright spot was the pool area, which had very nice landscaping. Would recommend a newer, or better maintained facility, which would be worth the extra cost.

Unhelpful staff, 20 minute wait for a breakfast table, poor quality food and a dangerous Pelaton in the smallest ‘gym’ I have ever seen. Room is tired and had damaged flooring and plumbing issues. Staff not interested because the Disney junkies will just keep coming! Won’t be heading back to this one.

The best hotel for social events and conferences. An amazing location to have your conference at if you are able to host the meeting didactics off site. The pool makes a great gathering area, the restaurant can be rented to have an amazing social event. The events manager and the hotel staff work hard to make you welcome. Highly recommend the Melia, can't wait to go back.

Arrival and meet and greet on reception with Jesus was very good and we were upgraded from a Deluxe room to a Suite. THANK YOU. Parking was good plenty of spaces to park with wide bays and close to the accommodation. The room was a little disappointing. It was tired and needed a full refresh and didn’t give you a sense it was a suite. Damage to the kitchen cupboards and workspace and the bathroom was also tired and felt very clinical. We noted the room would also accommodate someone maybe in a wheelchair or with a mobility issue as the doors were wide and the shower was a large walking shower with a curtain and had a plastic chair available. We ate and drank in The Wilson and the bar staff (didn’t catch the guys name) was very good and attentive. Try the Kona Big Wave on draft it was very good. We had the chicken salad and a Wilson Burger 👍🏼 really tasty. As we were only using the hotel as a single nights layover it was fine but don’t think I’d want to spend a week there. Needs a refurbishment or some maintenance work in the rooms. As I say it’s good for a single night to get your head down if you’re travelling
