Holiday Inn Express Cape Coral Fort Myers Area an IHG Hotel

We stayed here 6 days over Thanksgiving. The room was clean, the food was good, and pleasant employees always greeted you. The hotel public areas were decorated nicely and very clean. The location of the hotel was great. Good restaurants and nighttime entertainment within walking 🚶‍♂️ distance.

Our stay here was a last minute 'walk-in' as our planned booking elsewhere badly let us down, so we stayed at the Holiday Inn for a week, whilst visiting a relative here in Cape Coral. Well, we had a great stay (room with a balcony: staff were great, daily cleaning service (hotel is super clean with a pool, gym and laundry and a little shop for snacks), complementary daily cooked breakfast with great coffee,juices,muffins, toast in a great location and just down the road from Fort Myers International Airport if you're arriving that way. Would thoroughly recommend. Just across the road (1 minute walking distance) from some really good restaurants (Monkey Bar and Jungle Bird - where we were given a discount for staying at this Holiday Inn. You won't go hungry in Florida) and many huge grocery stores like Publix) Lots of good free parking here too. We have been coming to Cape Coral for many years and knew of this hotel but never stayed but we are so pleased we finally did! A very big thank you to everyone who made our stay very enjoyable. We appreciate the commitment and hard work from all your staff.

Hotel charged us twice. We noticed it before leave and wanted to clarify. The receptionist refused to do it first and asked us to wait 3 hours until the manager comes. We recommended to call him as we wanted to get it sorted out and to continue our journey. He made the call out of our reach, came back and informed us that booking.com pay money back to us. But it was hotel who charged us! We wanted receipt for payback. Did not get any document. Then police was invited - we were happy as we expected to get some protection. All wrong! He was buddy of receptionist. He came and started to request that we need to leave. I said we will not leave without the receipt. Only then we received the receipt for payback. They did not allowed us to eat breakfast. My husband was put to handcuffs because he tried to take an apple. The police stand on the door until I packed, my husband stayed in lobby in cuffs. All because hotel charged us twice and we wanted our money back. By the way - they never apologized. Not a single time. They treated us as criminals. Unbelievable, surrealistic experience. Never, NEVER EVER, visit a single Holiday Inn hotel during my life.

We had booked into an apartment through another website for a week and when we arrived it was so bad we decided to book a hotel immediately. We walked into the Holiday Inn express in Cape Coral and were greeted by the utterly lovely Mary who found us a great room with an even better rate for the week. What a relief. Mary salvaged our trip! Super clean with hotel discounts at local restaurants- and a great nights sleep with complementary breakfast every day. Can’t thank you enough Holiday Inn! Mary ( MJ) should be commended for her great customer service and super friendly and accommodating personality.

We stayed here for my 4th of July birthday and we're really surprised at the service quality of this venue - and the fireworks celebration locally. While the lobby elevator is tiny and incredibly slow, the stairwells are easy to find and navigate. The staff is pleasant, and the room conditions are great. No complaints. We did not stay for breakfast tho. Then during Milton's aftermath, we were still without power after 5 days, and gas was becoming a serious issue in our town. So I looked online for a hotel and ironically found the Cape Coral HIE with 2 rooms left. Knowing our great experience in July, we booked it, and on our drive down even found open and available gas stations in the knick of time, and we got a solid night's sleep in AC! The front desk was super, gracious, and sympathetic to our situation. They welcomed us warmly and efficiently. What was different this time was we stayed for breakfast, and while some places have a basic buffet with plastic food, this was an exception. Plus the staff in charge of the dining area was on the ball, greeting everyone, replenishing and cleaning. It was really well done. We even tipped the staff we were so impressed. We will return to this property any time we are in the area.
