Residence Inn by Marriott Lakeland

Nass, front desk awesome, friendly, called to tell me room ready, greeted us warmly. Housekeeping so so nice. Grandkids loved the 2 bedroom suite, the basketball courts, the awesome breakfast. Great location. Workout room perfect for a CrossFit workout.

Had a great experience. Took the trip for work and stayed here. Dane Gallion was very help and addressed all needs well. Glad to have had him working there when I arrived after a long trip as well as some of the evenings during the week. He was very approachable and friendly making the stay more pleasant than us standard for work trips

We recently spent 2 weeks here over the holidays and were very pleased. The hotel had just completed a renovation and we loved all of the beautiful updates. The lobby was gorgeous, and our 2 br suite was our home away from home. The beds were very comfortable and it was quite spacious. It even included a lovely fireplace. The friendly, efficient staff, including Dane, Tuesday, and Isabella, were so welcoming and accomodated our every need. The location was very convenient within walking distance to Lakeside Village Shopping Center and its many restaurants such as Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, & Chilis. The full kitchen was also appreciated. Although close to the airport and a busy highway, we never heard any outside noise and slept very well. There was also ample parking. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Lakeland! Highly recommend!

I am also a mom that came for a soccer tournament. As soon as I entered the room the mold smell was so intoxicating that my eyes were itchy and red immediately. I am attaching pictures of mold, water damage in bathroom and clogged sink. We had no choice but to stay first night, because we arrived late, however, the next day tried to checkout early and were told had to charge second night even if we were checking out before 12 PM. We were told could not refund second night. They had no remorse for the condition the room was in. Manager had no concern and basically just said 24 hour cancelation policy. At a minimum the second night which we were not Staying should have been refunded given the poor condition fo the room.

We stayed at this hotel as we were at a soccer event, the first night we arrive late and noticed a musty smell in the room. We were so tired and had early games that we slept that night, but it was not comfortable as we developed allergies. The next morning, we went to the front desk and others in our group were also affected. There were mold stains visible on the wall and sinks with standing water. It was a 2-night stay so we requested to check out for the 2nd night considering our allergies and discomfort. The assistant manager confirmed that he would not issue the refund for the second night because I didn't complain before 11:59pm the night before. When we were gathering our things in the room to check out, they had sprayed a horrible disinfectant that was super strong to mask the musty smell. This is not acceptable especially for such a reputable hotel brand. I have stayed in many of these hotels in Florida and have never had such an experience. To this day they have not even responded to the emails I have sent to the manager, and I never even received a final bill. But the full charge is on my credit card. This is a health issue, and it is very disappointing that they have chosen to address in this way. Do not recommend staying in this hotel - health hazard and poor customer service.
