Econo Lodge Crystal River

Perhaps the WORST cheap hotel I’ve been in. No water in the room for 2h after arrival. Ceiling falling in. Room smells like urine. Hair all over the shower. Shower paint cracked up. Ice bucket cracked and leaking. Front office locked. Only able to access the woman in it by a messed up window. Pool is ice cold. Avoid this place at all costs.

Worst customer service experience of my life, all employees seemed like it was between suicide or this shift. If you can avoid this place at any cost, I would highly recommend it. I have had better service experiences at primitive campsites.

We reserved two rooms, one for us and one for our young adult daughters. Due to the shady characters that were hanging out in front of several of the different hotel rooms drinking and the seemingly ‘ladies of the night’ our daughters did not feel safe staying in their room. So the four of us crammed into two full sized beds in one room. The only reason why I’m giving it two stars and not one is because the room was clean. That’s it. I absolutely would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 4 nights without any issues. The room was spacious and clean and no outside noise. The shower water was hot and plentiful. The pool was small but clean and warm. Office staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints at all and would stay again
