Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay in a King Mediterranean Suite, which consisted of a living area with sofa bed, and a separate king bedroom. The bathroom was connected to the bedroom, meaning our daughter (who slept on the sofa bed) had to come through the bedroom to access the bedroom. The decorations in the hotel were beautiful, and the service was excellent. It was a very long walk from the lobby to our room on the backside of the hotel. Overall the room and hotel were just we had hoped for. The best part was the location of the hotel, within a short walk of the National Archives, Natural History Museum, and the rest of the Mall. We would happily stay here again.

My family stayed here for two days in February of 2025, and these are my quick observations: 1. The location is excellent. We walked across the street to watch the Wizards play. The Ford Theatre is minutes away, and numerous restaurants are near the Hotel. Our favorite ice cream spot Tipsi Scoop is an easy walk. 2. The hotel lobby is attractive-if a bit funky-and you can get free water and decent coffee in the lobby. 3. Our room was nice with a high ceiling. The water pressure was a touch disappointing, but the water was hot and plentiful. 4. The internet was excellent. 5. The Hotel has a nice happy hour with free wine and soft drinks. It really needs to add beer for the non-wine drinkers. 6. The valet parking was expensive, but it was quite handy; the nice young gentleman brought my car to a spot immediately in front of the Hotel. 7. I have only one complaint. The smell of marijuana in our room was overwhelming at times. My bride and I are not prudish (we had our wild days in college), but I really hate that sickly, sweet, ham sandwich smell. I assume someone nearby was vaping. It smelled like a Bob Marley concert. Despite that one complaint, we would return.

This is such a cool hotel. First, the location is absolutely amazing. We are a huge fan of Jose Andres. His restaurants are wonderful and this place is in the center of them all. We ate at a different one every night and each was spectacular. The hotel is also in the center of all the Washington action. Itâs just an incredible location. The hotel is an old post office built around 1850 ish. It has so many original historic touches. Walking down the halls I could just envision what it must have been like hundreds of years ago. The renovated rooms are hip yet true to the historic feel. The lobby has touches of the 1800s blended with current pieces. It all works so well together. The staff is warm and amazing. Wine hour between five and six pm is a great time. This great hotel manages to be historic without a trace of stuffy. Itâs fun, cool and just really neat.

Well if you are interested in quiet you wonât get it. The music pumps loudly into the courtyard until 10pm. Yes in February when there is snow on the outdoor chairs. Lovely. Waste of time and money. We left. We should have been aware of that before we were assigned a room

This is definitely our go-to hotel now in DC. Really nice place, friendly staff, GREAT location, especially if you are seeing anything at the Capital One Center. Dirty Habit is a great spot right in the hotel. Worth having friends come over for dinner and/or drinks. And the hotel is dog friendly!
