I had an outstanding experience at Hilton Garden Inn downtown. The best was an outstanding employee Myra who helped my husband and I navigate the Metro system which was right across the street. We were unsure how to use it but she went above and beyond to walk us across the street and show us where to go. Very friendly service and a great location. I would highly recommend it.

This is our 3rd stay at this hotel. Once in 2018, once in 2023 and just this past weekend 3/28-3/30/25. I offer that to show that we liked this hotel before and were happy to return. We wonāt ever be doing that again. We are Hilton Honors Members and will continue to support the brand, but this hotel does not meet the standards we have come to expect. The front desk staff responds with zero urgency. As a recovering cancer patient, napping is essential when doing a lot of activities. We left at 7am on Saturday morning to hit the monuments and asked the front desk to make sure the room was cleaned before noon. There was no one at the front desk and a staff member wrote down the request for us. Why is nobody at any of the 3 front spots at 7am? Needless to say we returned at 12:35 and the room had not been touched. The hotel has 4 elevators. Only 2 of them are operable. Guests were having to wait multiple times to find space at busy times. That never changed. No repairs over 3 days. The Honors desk was a complete waste of time. The young lady acted like she was bothered to assist you. Condescending, bored service. The room was nice, but the bathroom is a bit small and cramped. We actually scouted out other hotels (within the Hilton brand) to use on a next visit. This was a very disappointing experience. Never again.

The location is very good, however this is the end of the good things about this hotel. The breakfast is very basic and poor. There is not any lobby. The bar is less than basic. The big problem though is the noisy airconditioner. You cannot sleep if it is on. The staff, the three members of the evening shift on 25/3, so that we are fair definitely not professionals and impolite to say the least. They gave us a room next to the yard of the hotel where they have the central a/c and the noise was terrible. Their solution was to give us airplugsā¦.. The lady next morning much more professional changed us the room. But again do not dare to turn the a/c in the room on. The cleanliness was good but the rooms need refurbishment immediatelly

This hotel is very easy to reach from the Metro, about a 4 minute walk Upon check in my employer had to fill out a credit card authorization form that is sent through email and is uploaded to Hilton once completed. This process can take a very long time. If you do not request they send you the email before you arrive at the hotel. I suggest you request the form in advance so that you do not wait the two hours that I had to wait to check in. The security deposit is $100 per night so a stay for the week is $500. The hotel says they have room service they do not I double checked. Without Wi-Fi the Internet service inside the building is very poor. The rooms are average, with some beds, walls floors, showing wear and tear. The rooms are spacious. The bathrooms and showers are nice overall Iād stay here again for work, but if I were to be personally staying here, I would choose somewhere else.

Rating this average is probably being too generous. Nothing at all special about this place as it is your typical cookie cutter Hilton, which as most frequent travelers know has been losing ground to Marriott for several years. The bed was ok, pillows were uncomfortable, and if you like rough toilet paper, tissues and towels then this place is for you. Elevators were super slow as one was broken. We used the stairs a lot, which were filthy. Once again, average at best. I stayed here because of location and because the points for the stay was lower than others. I didn't appreciate getting charged a TIPS fee and a Tray fee for my daughter's room service. Are you kidding me? It's a room delivery in a run of the mill hotel. Adding these fees are ridiculous. I used to be Hilton Diamond for a long, long time. But I changed over to Marriott quite some time ago. Booked this place because I had a bunch of Hilton points sitting around. This stay reminded me why I switched.
