Really good hotel, nice hosts. Bedroom was clean and smells good. Close to the subway and 7eleven. Didn't have breakfast so we had to walk to another place or buy from the machine at the hotel. Coffee maker in the bedroom was good. The hotel was really good but lot of noises from other guests and street in the morning, but you are close to everything.

Pros: located in the historic district of Georgetown, far from street traffic, close to the GWU School of Medicine and GW hospital. We stayed four nights in a 1st floor deluxe king room. Room was clean. Bed not super firm but comfortable, choice of soft or hard pillows on the bed. Bathroom was roomy; no tub; water pressure very good. Bath towels soft, not scratchy. Clean. NO MICROWAVE, but 2 safes (?) Cons: Mention of hotel renovation “recently completed” on the hotel website did not include window replacement. Of the 2 oversized windows, one window only opened 4 inches and required a paper cup to remain opened to allow air to circulate. The other window came off completely from the sill as for a window washer. That one stayed closed throughout our stay. The window shades were telescoped and worn. The fan in the radiator was inoperable which I discovered when I thought it might be a heat/AC unit. (It was neither.) Hotel admin said: “The hotel engineer is trying to [toggle] the AC and heat because they can’t go on at the same time.” What??? Unbeknownst to me, our room was situated one floor above the hotel entrance until late in the night when loud voices (male and female) echoed outside our cup-raised window. There was shrieking (girls) and guffaws (guys). It was dorm life all over again. This went on for 30 minutes until their cab arrived. None of the hotel clerks had any working knowledge of the museums at the National Mall. They knew how to phone for a cab, though. Why didn’t we leave or ask for another room? My husband didn’t want to move to another room because he was exhausted from traveling (he is 72 y.o.). On our 1st day enroute to the Arc Hotel, I had had a serious fall in Georgetown tripping on its uneven brick sidewalk and was in enough discomfort that I didn’t want to argue. (I’m 69 y.o.) We are both world travelers and thought a quick trip to DC wd be enjoyable. I won’t be coming back to the Arc Hotel. Neither should you.

Hotel was nice and friendly. Heat did not work (they can only have heat or a/c) and this was mid-season, so I was given me a portable heater. Parking is sparse, even valet was full. Rooms we nice size and clean. The location was great, a block from Kennedy Center.

Aside from the comfortable, clean room accommodations, the staff and manager were so gracious and helpful in making our visit to D.C. a very enjoyable time. The ARC has a warm vibe unlike larger hotels and is situated within walking distance to the Kennedy Center and mall as well as other sites. We highly recommend the ARC!
