This is no 5-star; 3-star is giving it a break. The rooms are not good, and the food is only acceptable. This did not live up to a Curio level at all. The rooms are not at the level you would expect of a Curio; the beds are not comfortable. The rooftop restaurant is only okay, not Curio level. Hilton needs to clean this place up or delist it as a Curio.

PROS STTTTAAAAFFFFF! I don't know when others stayed at the hotel who had negative experiences, but we had 100% POSITIVE experiences from the time we pulled up to the front door. OK, maybe not 100%, but the one interaction that wasn't "above and beyond" wasn't at all completely or overtly negative. Overall, this hotel has an amazing staff all around....valet, front desk (mostly), housekeeping.... Special acclaim to Neese (Front Desk), Nick, and Harris (both Restaurant on main level). Speaking of the Restaurant, I was completely bummed that their Penthouse Restaurant was closed for renovations! I gotta go back when it's done. The Main level Restaurant seemed very nice. I'd imagine the newly renovated Penthouse one is everything! Ok, note on Harris. I think he said it was his 3rd day working there. He handled himself quite well tho. He didn't give the ol' "I just started, so I have no idea how to help you" excuse... and just walk away. No, he explained as best he could, and then went and asked someone to confirm. Simple. Bing, bang, boom. Hat's off to you sir! Nick...this dude had to have slept the last 2 days straight because he is so alert, on top of things, etc. It was 8pm when I ordered to-go from from the restaurant and honestly, I was pooped. Wanted to eat and go to sleep. He was walking around all chipper, answering questions, helping people at the bar, etc. That couldn't be me. I would've been angry because I was tired by the end of the day. Last but NOT least....Nesse! Let's just say she knows how to deal with customers. Gives clear, reasonable answers, explains what's going on and why, etc...all with what I can only describe as a quiet grace. Just hope and pray that she's working when you visit the hotel. Not saying that other front desk staff aren't as capable or anything. Every customer deserves a Neese to assist them. The garden view wasn't bad, being on the 3rd floor. I would've preferred a much higher floor to see the amazing DC views, especially at night, but again, we were there 1 night. The room itself is uncommon...in a good way and in a hmmmm way. Size is medium as DC hotels go. The room with 2 queen beds seemed cramped but the two 20 year olds shared that, so they made do. My room had 1 king bed and I was quite comfortable. They did something quite unique with the closet. I've seen safes in the closet but not any like this. And I've never seen a mirror *inside* the closet. Speaking of mirrors, why did they put a full wall mirror in the CORNER of the room RIGHT next to the window so it made a weird V shape, causing the mirror to be approximately 6" from your nose??? They should've saved their money. That's more aesthetic than functional. Actually no, it's not aesthetic either. Bathroom was great. Large compared to most DC hotels. Extremely clean. No tub, but I prefer that. Good sized shower. Reasonable counter space. CONS The bed was about 2ft lower to the floor than it should've been, and quite a bit less firm for my liking. My daughter loved it but she likes her mattresses almost flat. LAUNDRY! No linens were ready at check in. Nice lady who checked us in said they were 100% booked the night before, and though we got there at like 5pm, no towels or linen were ready. They finally showed up, and didnāt really affect us much. A blanket had been thrown on the couch when we were checked in....not folded, just literally thrown on the couch. I called the front desk to ask if it was clean before I threw it on the bed while I waited for clean linen. The front desk said housekeeping wouldn't have left a dirty blanket in the room but unfortunately the hairs I found on it said otherwise. I'm not going to mention his name because I believe that he believed housekeeping wouldn't have left a dirty blanket in the room. He's front desk, not housekeeping. Even the housekeeper that brought the new linen may not have left the dirty blanket, so I can't blame her. I consider the people holding the bag to be the Housekeeping Manager and the Hotel Manager, neither of which did we see, but we only stayed one night. OVERALL, we'll be back. We live less than 90 minutes outside DC, and we have an affinity for quick 2-3 day trips within a couple hours drive. We usually stay just outside DC and drive in for shopping and dinner. Morrow is the very first hotel in DC to be added to our list of favorites!

I absolutely loved my stay at The Morrow. I was in DC for work this past February, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Kassim was amazing, so welcoming and attentive, and he made sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. The whole staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooftop bar and restaurant were such a nice bonus. Easily a 5 star experience. Iāll definitely be staying here anytime Iām in DC.

Visited for the first time and cannot say enough great things about this hotel. This was the best location for visiting some friends in DC and a great weekend getaway. Lobby cocktail on arrival was a nice touch! Will stay here next DC trip for sure.
