Hotel Nell Union Market

Hotel Nell is a VIBE! From the minute you enter the lobby, you know that you've found one of the best hotels in the Washington, DC area to stay overnight! The rooms are quaint with incredible decor and very clean. Be sure to visit The Treehouse rooftop bar and restaurant during your stay! Their house-made guacamole is 5 stars, as is the Grilled Chicken bowl!

Was great! Loved bunk beds for the kids! Floral lobby and rooftop bar fun! Some confusion on pricing of items and parking from the staff. Location was great too - union market a great vibe - but a walk to downtown attractions and metro may be harder for some.

Rooms are very small. While I was aware it was a bit of distance from main attractions I will note it was more of a downfall then I originally thought. Long walk to metro and hoping that an ebike/scooter would be available was not always a fulfilled wish. Definitely not the hotels fault but something to consider, especially if you'll be doing a lot of touring/walking.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Though the staff is nice, everything else sucked. The rooms are TINY. The parking situation is a little crazy, they only have like 5 parking spots available and you have to pay which is fine but we paid $45 and didn’t get to use our spot because every time we would get to the hotel, they had given our spot to someone else. A little ridiculous and over all I think they are super disorganized. Disappointed to say the least. Not worth it for the price. Will be staying elsewhere when I go to the area.

The Hotel Nell is a lovely little boutique hotel with all the amenities you need and none of the expensive frills you don’t. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The Cafe Bolgiano just off the lobby serves a delicious breakfast and makes it unnecessary to go wandering about the neighborhood in search of coffee and food. If what you require is a comfortable room and pleasant surroundings, the Hotel Nell is hard to beat.
