Staying at Extended Stay has been terrible. Actually, it has been worse than terrible. My stay was just an emergency visit due to unforeseen circumstances. Which coming to this hotel, I thought we would be safe and use this as a landing spot to get back on my feet. What I learned that this hotel is disgusting and filthy. Here is what you encounter on your stay, piss bottles in the hallway, trash that has not been gathered and taken out, and just straight up filth on the walls. Also you will encounter drug needles, dog feces, and liquor bottles everywhere in this hotel. Along with the filth, you will have bugs like roaches and stink bugs everywhere. With the bugs, you will have daily visits by police and other law enforcement looking for criminals in the hotel. There is no respect from other customers with noise and the riff raff. The hotel also advertises a non-smoking atmosphere, but you will smell smoke and marijuana usage through the hotel. Especially, when you enter the building, you will get the smell of all this smoke. Handicapped entrances are broken which means that the doors to the hallways where we are staying do not lock, so you will find homeless people sleeping in the vestibules and corners of the hallways...... Luggage carts are old and the tires are flat. If you are concerned for your safety, doors are propped open for anyone to access staff areas, so be careful. Along with the filth and bugs, the continental breakfast is a disaster, nutri-grain bars and stale muffins are the choices. Now for the staff, Cheryl is a disrespectful and drunk staff member that runs the front. Along with being condescending, Cheryl appears to be a racist person as well treating each guest different based on skin color. Other employees are engaged with the drug dealers that stay there. I would not suggest staying here, spending your money at this establishment, or even entering this hotel for anything. See the pictures to really see what you will be paying for. Don't worry if you call customer care lines, they do not care, and you will never find a manager on-site.

My husband and I came here about a month ago to stay for a week and we actually ended up staying up longer. Itβs definitely very peaceful clean and makes you feel like youβre at home or a little get away from home We personally got the king size room and itβs like a mini apartment which is way more spacious than most hotels you would stay at. It has their own kitchen living space bedroom bathroom separate. And itβs also very affordable versus what I was paying at a previous hotel where they keep raising the prices on me. Overall, itβs a pleasant stay

As an avid traveler, my recent stay at Extended Stay American Suites in Christiana-Newark, Del. was by far my worst experience ever. This hotel was severely dated, filthy dirty and stunk with dog odors & blatant marijuana use thru out the building. the hallways were poorly lit and extremely dark thru out. Signage was abysmally minimal. The woman receptionist at the check in/out front desk was very unprofessional and extremely curt & rude. This place was also relatively expensive. I found several less expensive hotels in close proximity to this one. I would avoid a stay here at all costs.
