Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott

These Ocean Suites are one of the most relaxing, comfortable, and closest to the beach options you can find at Bethany. We chose an off-season stay in a one-bedroom suite, which had a great balcony, full kitchen, and large table for 4, which was the perfect size for our family. The complimentary breakfast was also decent, and was quite helpful as breakfast options in Bethany were limited. The only negatives we experienced was the bathroom, which had an extremely slow shower drain and no fan, and some minor wear and tear in some places as well (screen door, tv’s, etc.) I still highly recommend staying here, and we are looking forward to finding time to come back again in the future.

We traveled to Bethany Beach for a long weekend getaway in January and really loved our stay at the Ocean Suites. The hotel is perfectly located -- beach front and a short walk to bars and restaurants. The room was well appointed and had a nice kitchenette. The staff are great and were mostly responsive to concerns. They provided a great list of local restaurants and cautioned us to call ahead, since a number of restaurants close during the winter months. A few things to note: -- The breakfast is fantastic and the ladies who work breakfast take such good care of all the guests. On our first morning, they showed us where everything was and even brought me a plate of bacon when the buffet briefly ran out. The food was delicious. (My expectations for hotel breakfast bars are pretty low, but I was blown away.) Truthfully, I would return here just for the breakfast and the great staff who work it. -- There is an indoor pool, but the heater was broken when we visited. (If you're going for the pool, call ahead to make sure the heater is functioning. We saw some youngsters using it unheated, but it was pretty darn cold.) -- Parking is not included and is an extra charge. Because we were there off-season, we had the option of parking on the street for free, but didn't want the hassle. -- While the TVs in the room indicate that some of the streaming services are free with your stay, they are not. You have to have your own account to log in and view movies.

Where to begin...this is the only available hotel in Bethany Beach at the time. Room had a king bed, sleep sofa and essentially a full kitchen..but with NO table or chair, if one wanted to eat options were to sit on bed or stand! Bed had a pothole in the mattress, deteriorating Cheerios were by the bed, paper products (John paper, Kleenex, etc) were horrid, towels used & left on the floor were not refreshed. Coffee pot only made 1 cup and coffee/sugar not refreshed... Yes, hotel "comped" me some but I suspect Motel 6 would be better.

Pro’s Staff at checkin were exceptional, we extended a night when we checked in and were upgraded. Parking in the garage was easy and convenient. Oceanfront balcony room with King size bed and plenty of room. Breakfast was above average with plenty of options. Great location near restaurants and shops Cons The room has adjoining doors to another room, noise and just normal talking can be heard from the room next door. Apparently our neighbors liked to cook and weren’t very good at it, on 3 different occasions we had to open our doors and windows to air our room out. With the last episode having to leave out as it filled with smoke and activated the fire alarms. We had to relocate rooms due to the smoke. We were charged extra for being forced to move but this was corrected later. Something needs to be done about these adjoining rooms. Fitness center was not up to par, limited equipment, temperature was at 78 degrees in the room. There weren’t any towels or disinfectant to clean the machines. Water dispenser doesn’t look like its ever been cleaned

The hotel is in fact right on the beach. It’s located right next to the town center. Great rooms. This is off season so the in-house restaurant is closed but there are several eateries within a few steps. Being out of season means no crowds, plenty of parking under the hotel.
