Stay Mar 29 - I had the pleasure of speaking to Alex before our stay. He recognized our Diamond status and promptly upgraded our accommodation. We were assigned a lovely suite #636 overlooking Pennsylvania Ave. Alex also arranged for a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries to be delivered to our room, which were elegantly adorned in chocolate tuxedos-a delightful sight. The suite was huge. The bed was extra comfortable, and the shower provided excellent water pressure. The robes and slippers added a nice touch of convenience. We also ha breakfast reservations, and the waiter was kind and welcoming. He ensured we had everything we needed and checked on us often, even engaging in pleasant conversation. A remarkable lady a the front desk named Lemlem Mesele, did an outstanding job. She and other staff spoke highly of Alex. Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful luxurious stay.

We stayed at Waldorf back in October, our stay was amazing and we came back. We thought that the last experience cannot be topped but we were proven wrong right from the beginning. We met Alex last time we were here and we ran into him at the check in again. As soon as we approached the front desk he remembered our names from 6 months ago! We were simply blown away by Alex and his customer service which is rarely found today. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are spacious, service is amazing and we will make the Waldorf Astoria Dc our go-to place when we are in Dc. Thank you Alex and the team.

From the moment you walk through the grand entrance of the Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, you’re swept into a world where historic charm meets modern luxury. Housed in the beautifully restored Old Post Office building, this hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. The architecture alone is worth the stay—soaring ceilings, ornate details, and a sense of timeless sophistication that you won’t find anywhere else in the city. The staff delivers five-star service at every turn. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive concierge and housekeeping teams, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is flawless. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully appointed with a blend of classic elegance and cutting-edge amenities. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the marble bathroom—complete with plush robes and luxurious toiletries—felt like a private spa retreat. Dining at the hotel was another highlight. Whether you're enjoying a cocktail in the dramatic atrium or indulging in gourmet fare at one of the in-house restaurants, every bite and sip is a celebration of taste and presentation. Location-wise, it doesn’t get better. Steps from the National Mall, museums, and iconic landmarks, the Waldorf Astoria is perfectly situated for both leisure and business travelers. Simply put: if you're looking for luxury, impeccable service, and a truly unforgettable experience in Washington, DC, the Waldorf Astoria delivers on every level. I can’t wait to return.

Beautiful property, mediocre service. We called two days before check in to confirm Peacock Alley could accommodate my daughter’s food allergies. When we arrived, the server and manager had no record of anything, and were unable to serve her requested safe food allergies manager was minimally apologetic. Overall, service in general was hustling fair. I think they are under staffed. If you stay here, request Alex at front desk for check in. He is a true gem who will go out of his way to try to help and make your stay as pleasant as possible !

Alert: Hotel Snob Hannah travels for fun too! On a recent leisure trip to DC, I had the pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria DC. The Waldorf Astoria DC is hands down the best hotel I have visited in 2025. The moment you enter the property, you are captivated by the majesticness of the property in addition to the top-notch service. The impressiveness did not stop in the lobby - our room and every inch of the Waldorf Astoria DC are spectacular. I would like to take a minute to note that each and every staff member we came in contact with were on top of their game. Every doorman, bell hop, concierge, and front desk agent were kind, courteous, and helpful. I wish I could be experience this in every hotel I visit in 2025. These folks truly set the bar for excellence. Pros: - The. Sheets. They were soft and subtle and pure perfection. I loved them so much I looked them up online to purchase. Not in my price range but one can dream… - There was a steamer in the closet! Have you ever seen such a wonderful item in a hotel closet!? - Housekeeping knows what they are doing. Our sleeping room was spotless. - Bathtub is large enough to fit someone 6 feet or more! - Impeccable customer service as mentioned above - LOVE the cherry blossom theme decor and drink at bar Cons: - Lobby chairs are so comfortable we didn’t want to get out of them to do activities around DC - Main entrance to hotel is difficult to find. We tried 2 other street entrances before finding the main entrance. Recommend more signage indicating entrances that do not have actual access - Current bathroom products scent of mandarin rind is rough Recommendations for hotel: - Create cherry blossom bathroom products for spring. Would tie very nicely into the theme! - Purchase Frette bathrobes to match the sheets. The current robes were hard and did not match the quality of everything else. We cannot wait to return to the Waldorf and have another great weekend in DC!
