Best Western Mystic Hotel

After renovations that brought it from a lower-tier Choice property to one of the better Quality Inns in the chain, this hotel has moved into my list of local favorites. The rooms have been completely renovated, with new mattresses and luxury vinyl plank flooring (no more stained carpets!). The breakfast room didn't have quite the variety it once did, but is adequate. Front desk and housekeeping personnel were all friendly and did a great job.

I would never stay in this hotel if it were the last one available. The room we stayed in had black mold all on the walls, the odor in the room was a moldy smell. The rug was so stained and the pool was so green and foggy. Absolutely disgusting. I tried contacting the hotel 2x via phone but they never returned my call. I had to report to the BBB. The hotel finally responded to them but lied and said I refused to move to a different room which I was never offered and claim the black on the walls was not mold.

If you are looking to find a hotel in Mystic, CT DO NOT STAY HERE we found 2 mice in our room the first night. My boyfriend booked this hotel through Booking.com and then Quality inn charged him after he paid through Booking.com. We found out the night we got back home. He has now been on the phone trying to get a refund from the second charge and the Quality inn/ Booking has been super dismissive not wanting to give back the refund even AFTER finding mice. Save yourself the headache and do not stay here!!! This has been a truly disgusting experience!

We stayed here for two nights and after comparing what other hotels charge, this could be the best value in Mystic. The room rates are considerably lower than other accomodations in the area which tend to be pricey. Yes, it's an older hotel and needs updating. Not the newest or classiest hotel in Mystic, but still a very good one. The wallpaper needs attention and carpeting in the lobby area has seen better days, But our room and all the public areas are clean and well-maintained. The hotel has a friendly, accomodating staff that answered our questions about nearby restaurants and gave us directions to attractons we wanted to visit, offers a very good breakfast in a spacious dining area, has a gymnasium with good equipment and a nice outdoor pool. Speaking of breakfast, in our opinion it's very satisfying - juices, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, muffins, cereals, and a waffle maker. Check in and check out were fast and easy. The location is good, close to the Mystic Seaport Museum and the Mystic Aquarium.

This is an ok motel. Not the brightest, not the cleanest it is what one would expect from a Quality Inn. The wallpaper was coming off the wall and the bathroom seemed clean but it just had an ick factor for me. There were stains on the rug. All in all if you could find no where else to stay its ok but there are nicer places to stay in Mystic.
