Baymont by Wyndham Salida

The hotel is small, but clean, Staff is very friendly and helpful, they have a decent breakfast and location is very convenient, you have everything walking distance to everything. In my case I went there with Family to spend a couple of days in Monarch Mountain and also the distance is 30 minutes driving.

We stayed here after backpacking on the Colorado Trail and it was excellent. We had our dog with us so a dog friendly hotel was a top requirement. This Baymont was very dog friendly with no special requirement, just $25 pet fee/night which is totally reasonable. The staff at the front desk, especially Jason(?) I forget his name, when we checked in on 9/6, was very friendly and helpful. The room and bath were clean, modern and the beds were comfy. It had a microwave, small frig, TV with good selection of channels. The pool and hot tub were great to soak in after a hard hike on the CT. They were also clean and neat. It's only ~30 mins to the CT East crossing on US50 and ~45 min to Monarch Pass for the West crossing so it's pretty convenient for CT hikers. Overall a great stay in Salida and will be my 1st choice when I go back to Salida.

Very dirty Couldn't even walk on the floor without your socks, turning black. Couldn't even take my baby a bath without washing out the tub.Myself first. You could tell None of the lamps were dusted or tables. I could just imagine how really dirty it was.. It's paid over $300 to stay summer. That was very dirty and unsanitary. Especially for a baby.. It was definitely no hampton.

My room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The only issue was the hot tub was cool and the pool was freezing, but the water was clean and so was the pool area. Restaurants are within walking distance and it's just a 5 minute drive to get to downtown Salida. Would definitely stay here again.
