SureStay Plus by Best Western Montrose

1 star as the mattress was reasonably comfortable and checkin person was friendly. People stay at Best Western for the predictable and consistent experience of a chain motel. Typically the rooms are comfortable, quiet, and clean. This is the worst one I’ve ever seen! Broken window, bathtub faucet broken. Old bottle of baby shampoo on the floor in the bathroom. No bedspread or comforter. Only a thin blanket and sheet. You can hear every word of people talking in the hallway or outside the building. People in the neighboring room said their toilet was clogged when they checked in. At breakfast, we went at 7:35 and there was one serving of eggs and potatoes left. No meat. No juice. Only 1/2 inch of milk in the pitcher. Only fruit was a couple of apples. No employees in sight. This place is terrible!!

This needs updated! It is very tired in almost every way. Shower curtain dirty, no body soap, shampoo or conditioner in containers in the shower. Felt like the tub was going to crack any minute when taking a shower. Had to go to front desk to get a hair dryer. Not enough blankets. Side doors and front door to back building not secure whatsoever. Pool was dirty. Awful property.

If any other hotel is available, choose that. Waited 45 minutes at desk to check in because nobody was working. Hot tub not working, water temperature fluctuates in the shower, just not a good experience. We ended up camping the other two nights we were in the area and that was awesome.

Worst experience ever staying in a hotel . First review I have ever left. Maybe I can prevent someone else from making same mistake I did. Michael the manager was made because I used app to book room and was very open about it. Girl at front desk was nice. Guest partied all night. Urine and other all over toilet. Wires hanging out of ceiling fan . AC didn’t work

I rarely write bad reviews but this is one. They ran out of breakfast time coffee. It seemed the staff was short on personnel. The woman in charge of room service was also staffing the kitchen. My room's sink was backed up with hair from a previous guest's hair, and the desk chair was broken. I wouldn't write this if the cost per night were sub-$100 but the rate was $163. I hope this group can pull together and improve the guests' experience.
