The place needs improvement. It was very clean and refreshing. The pillows and towels could be improved. The pool and hot tub needed replacing and repaired. A proper breakfast area would be wonderful. The employees and breakfast were great 👍

We had stayed at this property before (4 years ago), and it met minimal expectations then. Expected that now as a Wyndham property it would be better. IT WAS NOT! Linens had not been changed on the bed (although the bed were made as though they had been changed.) Second room had clean linens but that is the best I can say. Walls, doors, surfaces filthy. Lock on door broken. Ceiling had huge crack that had been filled in with plaster but not painted. Advertised pool and breakfast provided - neither available, and not indicated at time of reservation or check-in. Had a two night stay reserved but canceled second night. We have traveled somewhat extensively and this is by far the worst property we have ever stayed in. And we will not be staying again!

The room smelled, the door was hard to open, we didn’t shower because the bathroom was gross. Our son’s room was worse than ours. It hadn’t been updated in decades. If we hadn’t landed so late in Montrose we would have changed hotels and not stayed there

I booked this “boutique” hotel for two nights based on it being a Wyndham Hotel. My husband and I left after one night. The hotel was far from boutique. There are so many issues with this place and it wasn’t safe for anyone to stay. We stayed on the second floor and only one stairwell could be used. A step close to the bottom was cracked. This is a fire hazard in that there was only one way down. The pool was drained and in disrepair. Sidewalks and parking lot was cracked leading to tripping issues. Those are the safety issues I find concerning. Most of the place was under some kind of construction but nothing looked to be going on. The advertised gym, laundry, pool and hot tub were not usable. The room air conditioning was some contraption that didn’t send out cold air and we had it set to 60 degrees. Breakfast was food they prepared in a back room and wrapped in foil that you “ordered” from a typed paper on the check in counter. They poured milk into a glass for you. Needless to say we could not eat this food since we couldn’t see preparation. We found food crumbs beside the night stand and a bottle cap next to the desk. We couldn’t bring ourselves to use the shower. Checking out early was a great inconvenience for us and would not have been done if these conditions weren’t so bad. Since this was booked through a third party the hotel would not return the charge for the night not stayed. I have never written a review but felt these issues needed to be shared.
