Tru by Hilton Grand Junction Downtown

Selection was made for a location convenient to the theatre at CMU campus. ( A 5 or 6 minute drive) While quite familiar with other Hilton properties, I hadn’t stayed at a Tru Hotel before. The hipster-style decor was a bit of a surprise, but a pleasant one. The front desk person could not have been more pleasant or helpful, supplying helpful information about the eateries nearby, checking to be sure we were happy with the accommodations and quickly providing card keys in case our digital keys didn’t work (one didn’t) our requested adjoining rooms were very convenient and we discovered were part of the hotel design to provide abundant adjoining rooms for groups or families. Breakfast was hot, well prepared, offered a good variety of selections and provided some giggling reminisces of the Easy.Bake Oven of childhood as we used the pancake maker. ( which made very good little pancakes, by the way.)

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby and room were both very nice and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower had the best water pressure of any hotel I've ever stayed at. It's a short 2 block walk to the Main Street of downtown with a variety of restaurant options, including some nice breakfast places if the typical Hilton breakfast isn't substantial enough for you. I'll stay here again on my next trip.

Comfortable, efficient rooms in a hotel that feels new. It was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious (some of the best auto-matic pancake maker pancakes we've had) with lots of topping options. The staff was super friendly and hospitable.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. Convenient location. But no microwave, internet terrible couldn’t watch any videos. Rooms very small. Plus 8 additional taxes one for food and we didn’t order food or drinks. Not bad for a one night stay but not great.
