This hotel was disappointing. I had previous stayed at the residence inn in Boulder and it was great! This was nothing like that. Traveling with kids so got a one room suite and thought it would be perfect. It was a disappointment. 1. The pull out bed is horrible. Probably from 1980. It was horribly uncomfortable - you could feel the springs. Also, i had to ask for linens for the sofa bed as there were not the right ones in the room. Plus The linens in the room had holes in them. And it was dirty under the pull out. 2. The TVs did not have even a guide (it was on paper). No streaming. 3. The usb charging did not work. They advertised as modern rooms. I do not think they have invested in the room furniture or tech in 15 years 4. Thin windows - you can hear the traffic from the road. Putting on the fan on low helped. 5. Weird room layout where you had to go in the bedroom to get to the bathroom so person on pull out has to go in the bedroom 6. Asked to upgrade to another room and was told it was sold out - even when i went online and could book it for same nights on Marriott app. 7. Hallways smelled odd 8. Staff for the most part seemed annoyed to be working there. Exception is the woman at check out. Will not stay here again.

Safe hotel, large rooms and perfect area for a show at red rocks. I hadn’t booked the suites and somehow got a suite on the first floor next to the elevator in an ADA room but it was a very quiet room! I liked being close to the lobby and they kept the snack vending machines freshly stocked. Vanessa was really nice at the front desk. Loved the coffee served at breakfast first thing in the morning! Thank you for a good experience at a great value!

After reading some negative reviews prior to check-in, I wondered if we were staying in a different hotel. Staff were all friendly and helpful and our 2br/2ba was in a quiet location at the back of the hotel. Our room was refreshed as promised the afternoon of our 2nd day at the hotel (3-night stay) without having to call or track down housekeeping and the room and common areas were all clean. Although an older property, our room was fine and had plenty of charging outlets. With Residence Inn being my first choice of Marriott properties since they are so reliable, I do wish the chain would refresh the standard breakfast options, but this issue is not specific to the Denver/Golden location. Downtown Golden was an easy 10-minute drive and the Red Rocks Amphitheater where we attended a concert was a 30-minute drive each way with traffic. Pricing for this property booking directly through the Marriott app was competitive and a good deal.

I hadn't been to Denver area in 10 years and was looking forward to the trip. I picked this hotel since it was central to what we had planned and I am also Gold Elite Marriott member. I had reserved one bedroom suite for a week. I checked in on line and was told we would be notified when room was ready - no notification. I called them before 6 to let them know we would now not be arriving until 10:00 PM ish. When I was speaking with them, I was not told that the electricity at the hotel was out. When we arrived we were told there had been electrical problems earlier in the day, and not everything was up and running. We had to be checked in manually. The room I was given was first floor. I do not stay in first floor rooms and that is in my profile. Person at desk said they had not read my profile and I was told no other rooms were available. After much back and forth a room was found. It was on the 3rd floor. I was give two keys. Went to floor 3 and neither key worked. Back to desk. Was given two more keys and an emergency key and non of them worked. Was offered a studio, but there was no exchanging the next day for a suite. Ended up staying in the first floor room with the understanding we would be moved the next day. In the morning I inquired about getting into new room. Was told maintenance was not in. We had an appointment so we quickly packed up and took suitcases to lobby. In my haste I left two item in the room - one in the refrigerator and shampoo in the bath. I had hoped since the desk knew we left quickly these would be saved for us, but they weren't. Was told we could leave out items and when the room was ready,, our items would be put in the room. They weren't. We received a call about 4:30 PM saying we could get into our room. When we arrived we saw our luggage had not been taken to the room. We arrived and they keys worked. Room was very hot - 80 degrees. We turned on the AC - it was turned off. The room never cooled below 75 no matter what temp it was set at and the AC ran all night. In the morning, the temp started to rise. I let the front desk know. They said it would be on the list and they would get to it when the could. I told them if it wasn't fixed, we wanted another room. It was fixed late morning. It was better but never really worked right - either too cold or too hot no matter the temp. We lost electricity two other times when we were there - Wednesday evening until 10:30 PM and Saturday - on and off for a few hours. We were not given updates as to when the electricity might be on. Would have been nice for the front desk to offer some water. Many of us were sitting outside. Water didn't have to be cold - just something to drink while we waited. Room was okay. There is a two drawer stand in the closet. Can't open the drawers all the way because it hits the 1/2 door (no full closet door) of the closet. Door would not easily slide if you wanted to hang something up of any length or use the iron/ironing board. Bathroom was small. There was rust around the plug in the tub. The shower pressure was good. Only 1 place to hang a wet towel for 2 people. Bed was okay - nothing fabulous, but okay. Kitchen was interesting. No ice bucket and the drawers were so small the silverware container was not able to be put in any drawer so it was out on the sink. We didn't use any cooking supplies, plates, etc. or the microwave. A light cleaning is to be every other day and if you stay for 7 days then a deeper cleaning. Since we moved into the room on Monday, we should have had a cleaning on Wednesday, but it did not happen until Thursday. Desk staff at best was average - really didn't go out of their way to make me fee welcome and cared for. Breakfast is from 6-9AM - Monday thru Friday and 7-10AM Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast was okay - eggs, egg whites, sausage or bacon, cereal, bagels, muffins, waffle iron, bananas, green apples, juice, coffee, whole and fat free milk and 1% chocolate milk, 3 flavors of yogurt. The attendant kept food area clean and stocked. Did not use the fitness center, business center, pool or patio which was accessible from outside or the lobby, Location was great for what we had planned. Staying there again would be iffy. Hotel needs to invest in a generator.

Stayed for couple of days. Towels and sheets smells. Missing a lot item in the kitchen, like sponge, paper towels, fork, spoon, plates etc.. not properly prep for extended stay. Can't sleep properly because of noise outside and noise from guest next to you. Outdated.
