The Oxford Hotel

The hotel was wonderful. The entire front desk staff and lobby staff were welcoming, helpful and very pleasant. Each time we had a small request, they were prompt, gracious and delightful. They are a tribute to the hotel. The rooms were nice and the location is great. Highly recommend.

Old, unmaintained rooms (uncaulked, cracking, moldy crevices in the bathroom, broken furniture), creepy noises including a woman's voice echoing through the pipes, squeaky howling plumbing which would let out a high-pitched noise whenever you turn the water on and off (or when youre just laying in your bed trying to sleep), windows that peer into the brick wall next door.... Should be better for $300+ a night. I'd never stay there again.

After a rough start to our anniversary trip, checking into this hotel was like stepping into a whole new world. The historic charm, stunning city views, and warm atmosphere immediately made us feel at ease. Check-in was seamless, and although our room wasn’t quite ready, valet kindly stored our bags and delivered them to our room once it became available—no hesitation, no fuss. While valet parking was $60/day, we opted to park in a nearby garage just two blocks away, which was easy and convenient. The connected restaurant, Urban Farmer, was a highlight of our stay. We dined there twice and were lucky enough to be served by Sarah and Andy, who made us feel truly special and well taken care of. Their attention to detail and friendly service elevated the entire experience. One of the most memorable moments was on our last night. We asked the front desk if room service was still available—unfortunately, it wasn’t due to the late hour. I casually mentioned I just wanted a soda, and Kayla at the front desk didn’t hesitate to help. She not only searched for one, but even found us two spots at the famous Cruise Room (a must-visit martini bar!). Moments later, she surprised us there with three soda cans. I was genuinely touched by this sweet and thoughtful gesture—it really captured the incredible service and heart this hotel offers. The location is perfect, too—everything is walkable, from Coors Field to 16th Street Mall. We absolutely fell in love with this place and will always stay here whenever we return to Denver.

Hotel was wonderful! Clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfast and fun evening bourbon tasting added to the experience. Gym next door was available to guests and was also clean and modern. Highly recommend. Only issue was you had to request your room be cleaned and required you to take extra steps to speak to someone at front desk before 11am rather than just putting a sign on your door.

What a gem the Oxford is. Well situated to many sites and great restaurants. The staff was very welcoming. The old hotel is stunning and not at all outdated. The rooms were spacious, quiet and dark at night. We brought our two small dogs who were doted over by many and also had a great stay.
