No one on site to let you in your room if you didn’t receive the email with your room code. No signs or information on who to call for assistance. Thank goodness there was a man working in the main room that assisted me and called on his cell phone to get the code for me. My room was sub par. The microwave was really dirty inside as was the coffee maker. You can tell they probably had never been cleaned. I cleaned up the coffee maker myself. Coffee was in a container loose with a scoop. I was weary of using in due to no telling whose hands had been in there.

The pictures are not an accurate representation of the condition of this lodge. The place is on the verge of falling in. I was completely dissatisfied. There was an exposed plumbing pipe in the floor right inside the front door, the floors were so uneven that the mini fridge had a shim to level it, there was no sink in the bathroom, and the list goes on. Not worth the money that is charged to stay here.

Small parking area, lots of stairs, shabby furniture, king beds both soft and lumpy, window coverings working inconsistently, flat pillows and worst of all no handrails in bathroom and jacuzzi. The few updates, kitchen and bathrooms, were nice but for $220. at Booking.Com (it's listed at $119. today) and anther $10 ant the hotel to get a larger room. We wouldn't be going back or recommending it.

We stayed here with our dog this past weekend. The property was very well-kept and clean. Our room was quiet and the bed was insanely comfortable. The property included a great binder of tips in our room, access to free Hulu, and other thoughtful touches. We really enjoyed our weekend and it was a great base for exploring this area of Colorado. We were happy we stayed here instead of the busier and less tucked away towns of Woodland Park and Manitou Springs.

The Lodge is located high on a hill. The housekeeper was overlooking the balcony as we walked up and she asked if we were staying there and what room. She was very friendly and showed us to our room. It was tiny but was decorated nicely and looked very clean. We left and went to a convention we were attending. Upon returning to our room around 9pm and wanting a hot shower, we found there was no hot water! There was NO Body around to notify, the phone in the room didn't work, so we just went to bed. The next day, still no hot water. I heard someone on the porch, looked out and asked if they were an employee, and they replied they were. I reported the no hot water, and that the phones weren't working and I was unable to get a call out on my cell. She took me to the hard to find office, but no one was there. She said the owner hardly was there anyway. She did refund our night there and said she would take care of the problem. We went off to convention thinking all would be fixed by the time we got back. When we returned that evening, still no hot water and no working phone and no one around to notify of the situation. I heard the girls next door so went out to speak with them. They had all the same issues and said they were going to email the owner. I thought that was a good idea so I did too. The water went from cold to cool so I took a very cool and short shower that night. We left in the morning, still without seeing anyone in charge to talk to. When I got home, I saw an email from Tim Lange, the owner saying that he called an emergency plumber out Saturday and had them fix the wrong thing. I thought the problem was with our water recirculation system, we have a complicated hot water system here that has three boilers and kicks them on in order of demand connected to a recirculation system that keeps hot water instantly at every fixture so everyone has an unlimited supply of hot water to their rooms. When I understood there was no hot water (and thought only cold) I had the plumber check all the boilers that they were firing and since they were I had him replumb what I believed the problem to be with the recirculation system so I had the plumber re-pipe around the circulation system until we could get a replacement pump (which was not possible on Saturday afternoon.) He apologized for the lack of hot water and said the phone lines would be reconnected. He said his operation was small and he was unable to staff the office. I feel contact information should be provided to the guests as to how to immediately contact someone if problems arise. When asked if there were any other issues, I also mentioned that there was no sink in the bathroom to wash your hand. You had to go to the sink in the bedroom where you could prepare coffee and there were pots and pans to use and wash. Yuck! There just was not room to have a sink in the bathroom. My husband felt that we should pay one nite for the room as we had a roof over our heads and a bed so we did and told Tim that we would do this. We have NOt heard back from Tim after this email. For the cost you don't expect to have these sort of issues. Tim has the start of a nice place. Employees were friendly when you saw them, however these issues should never have come up and even if they do, you need a contact you can reach when they do.
