Outstanding hotel with Lionshead outside the door and a quick walk to Vail Village. Very attentive staff with great facilities and easy access to the mountain. I loved the heated pool on a cold winter's day. If you need a ride around town, the staff will drive you directly, and you can also call and they'll come pick you up and drive you back to the hotel.

Not as great as prior visits for us. We made the mistake of choosing the bi level loft. A king size bed up a spiral set of stairs is quaint but not great for midnight bathroom runs or even just room temperature. It’s gets toasty in the loft and even though the views were great I think we will pick a different room next time. Some of the traditional great Hythe features were fully present (good valet, great s’mores, incredible breakfast buffet, nice whiskey tasting, live music, abundant water, great gym) but there were some signs of fraying (broken hot tub for days, a bit more trash left around the fire pits and open spaces) and management issues (it’s ok to remember titanium members that come 3-4 times per year and it’s ok to not make the members be the ones to ask for breakfast vouchers…tiny details for sure but it’s a service industry and Marriott may be spreading itself a bit thin). It’s expensive overall but worth it. We’ll be back a few times next ski season although will likely also do some Beavercreek and Aspen options in the summer. Overall still our choice in Vail.

This was our fourth visit to The Hythe, and overall, it was another enjoyable stay with a few standout moments — and a few areas for improvement. We arrived on Saturday around 7 PM and were warmly welcomed by Simon, who made the check-in process smooth and easy. For the first time, we shipped our skis ahead of our arrival, and they were delivered two days early. Huge thanks to the concierge, Chris, who was incredibly helpful before we even arrived — she accepted the skis, booked dinner reservations, and arranged a private car to take my daughter back to Denver. Outstanding service. Although I'm a Titanium Elite member, we were initially assigned two rooms that did not face the mountain. We raised this with the staff and were told the rooms would be changed later in the week, which they thankfully followed through on. The rooms themselves were comfortable — the beds were excellent, and the showers had great water pressure and stayed hot, just as you'd hope after a day on the slopes. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. The made-to-order eggs station ran smoothly, and the waitstaff were attentive and friendly. As in previous years, I must give a shout-out to Anna — she's beloved by everyone and continues to provide fantastic service. However, the hostess at the breakfast entrance seemed visibly stressed and unwelcoming every morning. She may benefit from additional support during peak hours. The ski valet is one of the best parts of the experience — not having to carry skis to the gondola and back is a huge plus. Both the ski and car valet teams do an outstanding job. There were a few disappointments. The hot tub was in poor condition — the jets weren't working, making it feel more like a lukewarm pool, and the surrounding area had mold, loose plastic nails, and general debris. It definitely needs an upgrade. My wife enjoyed the spa, though it's on the pricier side. One thing to note: they automatically add a 22% gratuity without any prior discussion, which seems excessive. When we booked, we were told she could bring a guest for the "day spa" experience at no charge, but when our 16-year-old daughter joined her, we were charged an additional $61 (including the automatic tip). That felt misleading. Check-out was a breeze — thank you to Dustin, the general manager, for ensuring things went smoothly. However, we later noticed we were charged valet fees for two rooms even though we only had one car. We're still in the process of resolving this, which hasn’t been easy.

The staff at they Hythe are incredible!! When we arrived, we were on the hunt for smore's for our 4 year old. We had just missed the window, and the staff helped us find one kit of smores to save the day for our little one. (I believe his name was Matt, he worked in Engineering - THANK YOU!). The pool was great too and the hotel room was clean. Thanks for a great stay.

My significant other and I celebrated our two year anniversary at the Hythe in January and had the most wonderful experience! Shout outs to Rowan and Leslie at check-in and to Chris and Charlie at the concierge …. You made our stay magical! From the moment we arrived at ballet through to check in, the amazing suite, and the whole hotel experience we were in awe. Being in the Jacuzzi outdoors in the freezing cold weather was the cherry on top of an already amazing stay. Retiring to our room and sitting in front of the fireplace was even better! Thank you so much for being such a special part of our anniversary trip!
