Lark Motel

Willims has about three motels from which to choose. We picked this one because it was a dog friendly. It is very much an old style motel, reminiscent of some of the old route 66 places. We asked for and thought we got a handicap room. However, the door to the bathroom was not wide enough to get my walker through. The toilet was so low I felt I was sitting on the ground. It is an Indian-run operation and I don't mean Native Americans. On the bright side, beds were comfortable, and our room was spacious. Everything was clean. No breakfast was offered.

Lark motel was admittedly the least expensive of what was left at willits California's resort facilities. Once we arrived we noticed it is very clean and welcoming. The desk person was using covid protocols in order to give us our keys and check our reservation. He was very friendly, very courteous and very professional. The room is basic but it was very clean and actually had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. There were also soaps and shampoos available in the bathroom. Traveling during covid has presented many ways that motels are taking care of their guests but one of them has been to not leave a refrigerator, a microwave or a coffee maker. I felt more like covid was getting under control with these amenities in my motel room and I for one appreciate these amenities. Thank you Lark motel for a very restful sleep and an opportunity to reorganize before we travel on.

The shower drain was clogged; water backed up around my feet. The metal bedframe was exposed & sharp, and scratched my legs when sitting/standing. The floors were filthy, judging from black footprints left on bathmat. Trash under bed, leftover food in fridge.

No water, no hot water, shabby thin sheets on a lumpy old mattress smoking room covered with crappie cleaning products. Dirty carpet..walls not sure the sheets were clean,...so far that's the good part...stayed in rm 114..I put on clothes to go to bed ..crawled in. And smelled poop..walked to blocks down to old west in and booked a sweet little clean room..I wouldn't stay here if you payed me 500 buvks

Never, ever stay here!!! We booked 2 rooms for a business visit. My room had no lock on the door just electrical tape over the lock. My co-worker stayed in the other room which as it turns out had bed bugs. She even slept on top of the covers as the sheet was stained. She woke up full of bites. When we complained and asked for a refund, the owners admitted they had had a problem with that room before but thought it had been addressed. Instead of a full refund, they would only give us 1 night back. Worst motel ever. Do not stay here. Better off sleeping in your car if you had to.
