Americas Best Value Inn Westmorland

So much was wrong with our room here it's hard to know where to start. TV service out entirely. Our ceiling fan had such a wobble that the chain clanked against the light globe with every rotation, making it not possible to use it during the night without Clunk Clunk all night long. Hand-held shower head had a broken clip so you couldn't attach it to the rod like it should be to free up your hands. Desk chair was so wobbly that it took real courage to sit in it without fear of collapse. Microwave platter didn't rotate, and the wall plug it was supposed to be plugged into was cracked. Oh, and the swimming pool had been closed down by order of the state of California. Plus side - bed was comfortable and staff was mostly helpful.

Worst hotel room my wife and I ever had. The hotel says it’s a “smoke free hotel” but the moment we entered our room, a strong scent of smoke you’ll smell right away. A lot of broken stuff too such as the deadbolt of the door is broken, cracked tiles on jacuzzi, bedframe is unstable. Room is so dirty as well as there’s a panty on the night stand, chucks of beef jerky on the floor, dirts everywhere, graffiti on the painting, blood stain on the trash. We hope we get our deposits back and we hope we don’t get charged with their smoking fee as we never smoked on their premises but got assigned to a room with a really strong scent of smoke. Won’t recommend to anybody.

Stayed at Americas Best Value Inn for 1 night. Was hesitant to stay due to reading former reviews. Enjoyed my overall stay. Staff was nice enough to allow me to switch rooms because the initial room was a little too dark for me. My new room had an issue with the light bulb. No maintenance personnel was on site but the receptionist had one of the employees husband take care of the issue. My room was clean, bed was comfortable. The Inn provides free breakfast which I think was sufficient for the price I paid. There is a few convenience stores and El Sol Market in walking distance. El Sol Market has a restaurant inside which has good Mexican food. I went to the Date shake (Mediterranean market) down the street and got some really good flavored olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Yum! Would stay at Americas Best Value Inn again when visiting the area.

Supposed to include a hot breakfast from 5-9am. I went to get food at 6:50 and there was white bread and 3 hard boiled eggs. I asked if more food was coming out, I was told yes in about 20 mins. I checked on and off until 8:15, only food brought out was a few sausage patties.

This is a very good hotel except for one thing: when we arrived to check in, the concierge was not wearing a mask! I asked her to wear one because there was a big sign on her divider that told us to wear masks and so she did go and put one on. A little while later, I went down to get something out of the car and noticed that she was checking in another guest. He was wearing a mask so I looked and saw that she was not! Apart from this flagrant disregard for the rules, it is a very good hotel, clean with nice big comfortable rooms.
