El Rancho Motel Arizona

Made an unexpected stop due to a fierce winter storm. Could not have found a better place to hole up and wait it out. Classic 1937 hotel filled with Western and Hollywood memorabilia. The lobby had a roaring pine scented fire going. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Full bar and a restaurant that includes solid New Mexican cuisine.

I arrived at 5 pm. No one was in the office. People appeared soon after. My room, 108, had no tv remote controls. The nice lady brought me two. They don’t work. I can only access one channel. The room itself is ok. No Kleenex, nothing for ice, teensy soap and shampoo. This is my third and last stay here. Can’t recommend. Thanks.

Old motel. A little run down. We had booked 3 nights while we went to Algodones for dental work. The first night the A/C unit melted it's electrical plug with a rather alarming CRACK and puff of smoke. The other 110v outlets in the room were worn out and intermittent also. The east indian manager who's name was of course Patel, got us a 2nd much better room. The manager was very nice and the 2nd room was clean and everything worked! I would stay here again.

Wow the whining! It's not the Taj Mahal but worth the money when I was there. I little liquor store to the north by the gym to get provisions to sit by the pool after a hard day of Mexico, Quartzite, and the gun range by the Proving Grounds. And Fat Harvey's to the south!!! I even have a card almost filled for a free nights stay. They may not be honored anymore since it's been a lot of years since I've played out west.

My SO and I took one step inside this place and turned around. The bed is old with indentations in the mattress. The furniture upholstery is worn down. It smells poorly. Only for the tightest budgets!
