TETRA Hotel Autograph Collection

The Tetra team seems to feel they are not required to follow the basic guidelines of the Marriott Bonvoy program when it comes to offering upgrades. Upon check in, I asked about the possibility of an upgrade to a junior suite/suite due to my Bonvoy Titanium Status. The gentleman at the front desk told me that none of the suite were clean. I offered to hang out for an hour and wait but he told me he wasn’t sure when the suites would be ready. I knew he was lying to my face because the night prior to check in I looked online and multiple suites and junior suites were available. The Tetra is at 25% capacity so there are literally hundreds of open rooms yet I’m in a room that is small and faces another building. Very disappointing There is nothing worse than an employee that lies directly to your face. After a few hours in a very stuffy room, I discovered that the AC was not working. The front desk agent moved me to a different room, once again not allowing an upgrade. In fact, this time I was downgraded from a so called Mountain View (aka parking lot) to a view of the side of another building. When I brought this situation to the attention of Mr Alex Lane, Campus General Manager for Tetra Hotel and AC Hotel Moffett Park, Sunnyvale, he chose to ignore my note and never bothered replying. This says volumes about how he has trained his employees to treat guests. This is a hotel that does not care about the guest experience and makes zero effort to take care of loyal Marriott guests. They will do anything they can to avoid giving you an upgrade, including lying to your face. I suggest you book any other hotel in Silicon Valley/Sunnyvale.

My stay was even better than I expected. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. The food at the main restaurant was very good (loved the roast chicken), and room service came quickly. All around a great experience.

Our stay at the Tetra Hotel in Sunnyvale was absolutely fantastic, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Patricia. The hotel itself is modern and comfortable, but Patricia's warmth, helpfulness, and surprisingly delightful sense of humor truly made our stay unforgettable. Her dedication to ensuring our comfort went above and beyond, turning a pleasant trip into an amazing experience . The hotel is new and is very clean. Advanced facilities. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed. The onsite restaurant is very good, delicious food. Pool is kind of small but the out door environment is nice. Could be better if there is bike rental.

Courtyard shared with AC Hotel was inviting and beautifully decorated with a CA redwood theme. The location of the hotel is strictly for business with Google, Lockheed and NASA within walking distance. The train line to Mountainview is accessible from the back door but it doesn't go to Palo Alto, San Francisco or even the San Jose airport, however Lyft and Uber readily are available. The hotel lobby is pretty and modern. The entire hotel feels Korean, such as the coffee shop ran out of 1/2 & 1/2 for coffee, the coffee shop carries sweet potato muffins and the rooms have electric tea kettles instead of coffee makers. The towels are beach size and the hair dryer is loud but powerful. The robes are sweatshirt material, beds were low but comfortable and I had a sunrise view. Toilet paper was rough not plush but otherwise the bathroom was modern and sleek.
