The Lumberjack Hotel

Some disappointing features - malfunction of ice machines, soda machines and TV's. Our family had 12 rooms over the weekend and there was disappointment from all on the mentioned malfunctions. Lack of towels was also a dproblem. However the rooms were clean.

The place is built well which I instantly recognized being I used to work construction. Everything was very clean and there was a lot of attention to detail when putting the rooms together like dark towel for makeup to prevent stains, hair blow dryer, cards to place on towels you’ll reuse, etc. This is the best affordable in Sonora BY FAR.

Pros: Room condition was okay. Front desk was helpful and cheerful. Property condition was ok. Cons: * No Elevator - Ofcourse not a big deal. * Breakfast was a joke - All the food was over one hour before closing time. That includes spoons, forks, knives, milk, cereals, bread, bagels. Only thing that they had were refrigerated muffins and a very long line for the single waffle maker that was working. * Not too many car parking spots.I had parking but there was not even 1 free spot left. If you take your vehicle out in the night, then you may need to search for parking on the street.

We had a decent stay. Christina at the front desk at the Sonora Inn was super helpful and pleasant. She gave us an iron which was missing and needed. The room was small but the beds are big and it served the purpose. Lots of noise from the room above - but we were glad for a first floor room. Close to everything and convenient. Breakfast at the other Inn was a little sparse the first day, but better the 2nd day - and we went earlier. Would have liked to get a receipt emailed, but not a big deal. Would go back again for a quick trip to Sonora / Columbia.

I left clothes in the drawer. I got a message they had a note in the cleaning log that the maids found them. But then management called and said they were gone. So someone is enjoying my pants and cashmere sweaters. Make sure you get everything out of your room!
