This Hilton is below Hilton standards. It has not been cared for in years and it shows. The curtains, carpet, couch and lampshades all had giant stains on them to the point where I didn’t want to touch anything. The bed was clean but the mainstays of the room were absolutely filthy. The toilet took a long time to flush and it smelled of poo no matter what was flushed. A Motel 6 is a better hotel. This hotel also charged me for a smoking fee when my husband and I don’t smoke. I reviewed my receipt with the front desk in the morning and there is was no smoking fee included. I was charged this fee 6 hours after I left. When I contacted the front desk about the charge, apparently they were notified of the ā€œsmoking incidentā€ at 8:22 the night before and no one alerted me of the ā€œviolationā€. We had blown out a candle around that time and the front desk staff said that was probably the reason the air quality changed and the system was alerted but only the manager can reverse the fee. After multiple calls to the hotel the manager refused to speak with me. This hotel will steal from you, refuse to talk to you about it and there’s no recourse to fight it. Stay somewhere else. This Hilton sucks.

This is probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. This website states free parking. NO! It’s $18 paid to a separate website. And then there’s a sign stating park at your own risk. There is no off property parking. The phones in the room do not work. How can you call down for the non existent room service if the phones do not work? There were empty alcoholic beverage cans left in our room. The mattress was disgustingly stained. The coffee maker didn’t not work properly. The fridge did not get get cold until we were leaving the next morning. The furniture was stained! The couch was broken and ripped. The shower flooded the bathroom floor because it leaked. The a/c socket pushed in when I went to plug my hair dryer into it. When talking to the front desk about maintenance they claimed they had ā€œ o ideaā€ when maintenance would show to look at fridge. Finally after 9pm I said don’t bother with maintenance. I’m not answering that door now. Front desk was less than helpful and stated it was their issue so I should take it up with the place I booked the room. Problem is I booked it with the property site HOWEVER the evening manager told me that the call must have been ā€œhijackedā€ and they understand that happens a lot. So take it up with someone else. Run! Do not stay here. The outside and lobby are very inviting. It it ends there. And did I say I rented a 2 room suite?!?

Lobby is attractive. 1 bedroom suite was very large, though seemed sparely furnished. The fee for parking is ridiculous. Breakfast was lacking organization. Front staff were polite, though nothing special. Overall, hotel was clean, nice and fairly priced.

We recently stayed at Hilton Santa Cruz / Scotts Valley, expecting a premium experience at $180 per night. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We booked a room with a King-sized bed—but upon arrival, the bed was noticeably smaller. We measured the mattress and confirmed it was, in fact, a Queen-sized bed. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, they didn’t apologize or offer a solution. Instead, they gaslit us, insisting it was a ā€œstandard kingā€ despite our clear proof showing otherwise. This level of dishonesty and refusal to acknowledge the issue was appalling. After significant back-and-forth, they finally honored our request and provided the King bed we had paid for—but this level of inconsistency and lack of accountability is unacceptable. The quality of this hotel is shockingly low for the price. Rooms are poorly maintained, and staff are more interested in defending themselves than addressing guest concerns. We expected much more from a Hilton property, but this stay felt more like a cheap roadside motel with a Hilton label slapped on it. Save yourself the hassle and frustration—there are far better options in the Santa Cruz area. Hilton Santa Cruz / Scotts Valley is simply not worth your money or your sanity.

The room was very comfortable. They serviced the room each day…YES! We had a room on the 6th floor facing the trees. Lovely and quiet. I cannot say that the other rooms offer as nice a view. From what I can tell the views are of parking lots. The pool and hot tub were fun at night. It was helpful that there were not many people at the hotel during our stay. There was good parking but you pay a lot for it. I am really not sure why they charge for parking. There is not anything nearby that warrants paying for parking. It is not like they protect your car. There are signs saying you park at your own risk…and that they will tow if you do not pay. The location was convenient for adventuring in the Santa Cruz to Monterey areas. The restaurant was good but more expensive. Also, if you want coke instead of Pepsi just buy it from their market. Also, if you are a Diamond member with 2 people staying make sure they give you the $15 food credit for both people. They need to do this manually.
