Residence Inn by Marriott San Francisco Airport San Mateo

I’ve been flying to California for work since November and have been staying here every visit and I’m always greeted with a smile and recognized by name at this point. The staff is always outstanding,the rooms are always well kept and the workers are very honest,I say that because I was checking out and returning my room keys to the drop box at the front desk and no sooner than when I landed back in Ohio the secretary had called my place of work and told them I accidentally put my credit card in the drop box with the room keys so I called the hotel to verify my mistake and they put my card in their safe for me because I was returning in a week anyway. I walked through the doors a week later with them having my card ready for me when I checked in! That meant the world to me that they kept it safe. So I highly recommend staying here if you get the opportunity.

I didn't love this place and yet it was consistently full. My room was damp and older. The carpets need a really deep cleaning and there is literally no light in the rooms because if you open the shades you have no privacy at all. However, the front desk is super nice and that helps. But this place needs a real make over. If the rate is cheap, you'll feel it was a solid value. It's good for a night. It's not great for a week.

Always have a great experience And everyone treats me so well. I love the home feeling away from home. Also my son is going to college near plus the shopping center 2 miles away. And there’s no elevator it’s like you’re individual house, which is awesome

My only complaint, is the random hold they put on mine and my coworkers credit cards. They say it's a $20 a day hold, but the amount they hold doesn't add up to that. It resets every week, and for a 3 week stay, the amount ranged anywhere from $110 to $20. The staff is very friendly, and other than this odd charge hold, I very much enjoyed my stay

I work from 5 am to 1 am . During those hours I stay inside my room and don’t want to be bothered. They respected my privacy. Also, I’m constantly going outside to have a smoke and they didn’t make me feel bad about it. Great service. The room is nice and I’m looking forward to coming back.
