Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo

Stayed for 8 nights on a business trip and couldn't fault it. Speedy check-in and spacious room with everything I needed. The staff were friendly and polite and the food on the whole was very good with plenty choice - including specials each day as well as a set menu. Great for me, as I ate there most nights. Parking was plentiful and easy access onto the highway. The gym could be a little bigger, but had all the essentials if you're looking to keep up with your fitness regime while you're away. I'd happily stay again should I return to San Mateo.

This is a nice HGI in San Mateo. I've been here for work twice and have had no complaints. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was more with Hilton than this hotel and that is that the breakfast benefit for elites is not enough to get anything other than granola for breakfast. I expensed it, but it could be annoying if you're hoping that status will give you a free breakfast.

We’re Hilton diamond members so this was our hotel pick for a volleyball tournament at the San Mateo event center for 3 day weekend. Nice area near lots of shops, quiet hotel. Our stay was overall really good. I appreciated the diamond designated parking spaces. Staff was friendly. Word of caution to diamond members – food and beverage credit Policies and billing is very confusing here. I even called Hilton corporate and couldn’t get a straight answer. We stayed three nights and ended up eating dinner and breakfast on the same day – which to my understanding was a different hotel “nights” (we were checking out early the next morning before restaurant opened ) but we were not able to get the credit. Also, initially food and beverage credit wasn’t even applied to the bill so make sure you check folio before leaving…

Stayed here for business for 8 nights and can't complain about anything. Staff were friendly, room was clean and the bed was really comfortable - everything you need for a business trip. Didn't eat in the restaurant but there are reasonably priced options nearby

Chose this hotel for first and last nights of vacation since it’s convenient to the airport. Great decision. Excellent customer service from everyone we interacted with. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the bar and restaurant were perfect for a quick bite and drink, and the Halloween decorations were a highlight. Reasonably priced and highly recommended.
