The Marker San Francisco

Sending a big THANK YOU to Kenny on the night desk, who calmly and kindly went to my room and found my lost earrings after I'd left the hotel and was already at the airport! This is a lovely hotel with great facilities, but in today's world, having trustworthy and super professional staff is worth more than anything.

Outstanding Hotel from staff at reception, porters, dining and housekeeping. Always willing to assist. Incredible service. Supplying complimentary tea coffee in the morning is a nice touch. Great lounge spaces on the ground floor and this suited groups or small space to relax for a drink. Room had excellent bed, bathroom and layout. It was quiet, warm and very relaxing. Other guests were often commenting about the amazing hotel experience in passing. 2-3mins fro Union Square and always felt safe. I would not hesitate to return to The Marker on Geary Street.

My friend and I stayed at the Marker for 3 nights for a girl's trip. We arrived late at night and the night host was so welcoming and hospitable (I think his name was Kenny?) We arrived at the room and it was very quaint and clean. The rooms aren't the most updated, but they are very comfortable and we had no issues. They also provided 2 bottles of water in refillable containers for our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and has lots of spaces for working or hanging out (fire places, old lounges, etc). The gym is also very. nice and has good equipment (especially for a hotel gym!) Every staff member we encountered was delightful. It was mentioned on our trip that staying in the Tenderloin district (which is where we were) was a little sketchy- but my friend and I always felt safe. You definitely encounter transient folks on the streets around the hotel. They have a doorman at all hours and you have tap access into the elevator. There is also a CVS down the street and bodega across the street for snacks and drinks. Honestly, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Staff were excellent and rooms very comfortable. Room cleaning was scrupulous and we found the ehole place charming.
