Home2 Suites by Hilton Sacramento at CSUS

Another 2 week trip for work brought me to this location and the first time here. Home2 is often one of my favorite hotels and this one did not disappoint either. Conveniently located about 15 minutes to anywhere you want to go it seemed. There is a Target right around the corner for ease of finding groceries, or a Trader Joe's around the other way. A lot of activity happens right across from this hotel as it overlooks a public bus stop, but it was nothing that truly affected the stay. Parking availability near the entrance is not abundant, though there is more around the back and opposite side. Staff were not overly friendly, however I had no issues either, so standard enough customer service. Coffee was hot every morning and available early after using the gym at 5:00 am. The gym is 24 hours which is nice; there is a laundry room off of the gym with plenty of machines (coin operated) and a change machine which you don't always see. Breakfast was the standard Home2 offering and nothing worth much mentioning. There is an outdoor pool, though it was too cold to use at this time. The room was clean and spacious and the kitchen was stocked with enough dishes/utensils for use. I have no complaints and would choose this hotel again when I return to the area.

Our gymnastics team recently traveled to Sacramento to compete at Sacramento State (just around the corner from the hotel) and UC Davis (easy, short drive). We couldn't have selected a more perfect hotel for our 6-night stay! The hotel is fairly new and impeccably maintained. It is also a short, and safe, walk to Target and many local eateries. The rooms were incredibly spacious. Each room had a pull-out sofa, full-size refrigerator, sink, and even a dishwasher. Plates, glasses and silverware were placed neatly in the kitchen cabinets and drawers. The room was thoughtfully designed down to the smallest but important details. I loved that the shower handle was on the opposite wall from the shower head! And the black-out shade worked great! Each member of the front desk staff and management team was friendly and hospitable, and the student athletes LOVED the fresh baked cookies each night. The hot breakfast buffet was plentiful with many healthy options. They even use real plates and silverware...no paper/plastic here! And the sales team...not enough words to thank them for being so accommodating, not only to the team but to the many parents/alumni/friends that stayed at the hotel as well.

I really enjoy staying at Home2suites. The hotels are new and have full size refrigerators, room has sink and dishwasher. The room was clean and comfortable. The digital key was in consistent. The location is in a less than ideal area. The front door is always locked so you have to use your key. So, if the digital key doesnt work, it makes it difficult.

I booked this hotel for a group of young, scholarship winners traveling to Sacramento for meetings and it was a great experience! The rooms were clean and MASSIVE! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the sales staff, in particular, were accommodating, patient with my many requests and changes, and just lovely to work with. Will definitely be back next time we're in Sacto!

The team here is great. Special shout-out for Natalia! All of our employees felt super welcome, had a great time, and enjoyed the amenities. We received only positive reports. I will be staying here again whether solo or business, it's an excellent hotel.
