Staybridge Suites Rocklin Roseville Area an IHG Hotel

I am giving a five-star review, but there was definitely an issue with smell in room 106. I recommend staying as far away from the 106 hallway as possible. At first I thought, man this room smells a little bit like food cooking. That's not too bad. By 11:00 p.m., it got a little bit annoying. The smell was only in my room. Not in the hallway. Sometimes at these extended stay hotels, with small kitchenettes, there will be an ambient smell of food cooking. Not the case here. At 5:00 in the morning the smell was so bad it was sickening. Apparently it's the kitchen or food preparation area where they make the breakfast. When they started preparing for breakfast, the smell became unbearable. It wasn't like a good morning breakfast smell. It was like a stale sweet there's a syrup covered waffle rotting under the bed sort of smell. Other than that, the hotel is fantastic. Laundry room is free. Machines are ultra-modern and do a great job. Very nice swimming pool and hot tub. Nice workout room. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Nice business center where I was able to spend almost 3 hours doing online meetings. Convenient parking, but sadly, no EV charging. Fantastic location. Definitely not a tourist spot, but less than 5 minutes drive to a huge shopping area.

Although the room was nice, and very clean, I can’t say that for the rest of the place. The inside hallway was horrible, walls and trim beat up. The pool and hot tub, disgusting. Pictures attached. The front desk employees were great, and very friendly. Now we go to the free breakfast. First morning, no eggs, no potatoes, very little sausage, milk container was empty. While they did fill up the empty items, after us asking, the lady wss Very RUDE. Second day breakfast, no milk, no plates, juice was , well I’m not sure. Supposed to be apple juice, not sure what it was, nasty tasting water. Once again, same lady, same Rude attitude. This used to be our family and friend’s favorite place to stay. This place needs some serious maintenance.

Stayed here for a night while on business. Will start off by saying it’s in a fantastic location, right by a lot of great restaurants, Starbucks, and movie theaters. The indoor pool and hot tub were really nice and the indoor area for the pool is huge! The room itself was large and adequate. The hallways to the rooms look a little run down and dim lighting didn’t help it’s case. Also on the floor I was on, it smelled like weed. I know you can’t control if people do this but to deter this you can always charge them after the fact if their room reeks of weed when they check out. Once I got to my room, the room itself didn’t smell and was clean. Only other recommendation to the hotel is provide plastic or paper cups as I didn’t trust the glass cups in the cabinet.

We checked in , terrible front desk service,,treated us as just cattle ,get um in move alone,,not like the IHG members we are. Get into the room, and out the luggage on the bed, because there isn't a luggage stand,, and the bed fell through to the floor. Called front desk for maintenance and took 3 hrs for get someone to fix , when he finally found the correct tools.. Next day, a giant covkroach was running across the bathroom floor..picture to follow.

Our room was like a studio condo with a full size fridge, stove, dishwasher and pots & pans. It is by no means luxurious as the drapes and air con unit are dated. The TV is placed in an odd location off to the side between the sofa and the bed so you do not get a direct, straight view. Also the location of the hotel is also weird as it is behind a strip center where you must drive through the center in order to get to the hotel. The free breakfast included in the rental price was nice. And the location is only 10 minutes from Thunder Valley Casino. Overall, a bit pricey for its location but suit our needs being close to Thunder Valley.
