Do NOT Book This Motel Clearly money is more important to Danny the manager of this motel, than abiding by federal laws and respecting guests health. Last night 10/20/24 he INSTRUCTED a guest who had just checked in, to smoke outside of her room door next to the door of a non-smoking room he knows is occupied by a non-smoker allergic to cigarettes and weeds smoke so that the smoke will enter that room through the door creveses and window and cause that guest to be sick. I immediately smelled it and got up and opened the door, there's a heavyset red haired woman sitting on a chair next to that door close to mine, smoking a cigarette, with a small black Dog standing across from my door. I call Danny from the room phone several times, no answer. I call from my cellphone, then he answers and after I tell him smoke is entering my room through door creveses and window and that I'm allergic; he admits that he intentionally assigned a person who he knows smokes, to the room next to my room and that he has no assigned/designated smoking area on first floor in parking lot nor anywhere down there. He nonchalantly says he'll 'talk to' the woman. 2. As I ask him why he therefore intentionally allows smoke to enter non-smoking rooms, he hung up in my face. I do not pay for disrespect; so I will not give this motel my money/my business ever again. I'm getting more sick, and he has not come up to that room; so unfortunately I'm forced to step outside of my introvertness and open my door again and ask her to stop smoking by my room because obviously smoke enters room, and tell her that my room is non-smoking. 3. She informs me that Danny TOLD her to smoke outside her door, and that her room is non-smoking as well. She agrees to go against his instruction and go downstairs to finish her cigarette she's still puffing on. I then had to open my door a few minutes later and widen my window open more, to air out my room. I now have a pounding headache and the other symptoms are beginning to kick in. 4. Now today 10/20/24, the power in the motel as a whole, goes out. Once it's back on, the internet is not working no matter what I tried; and I was in a live conference that therefore I got disconnected from!!! I call Danny but his wife picks up (they live in the office downstairs with their kid's) and so I ask her to re-set the router, and I inform her of what she obviously already knows....that the internet has not worked since the power came back on. It's now thirty minutes later and it's still not working. And, the password is not even working anymore, while otherwise the network list screen days 'Connected but no internet access'. How careless of them, and Damaging to their guests who's money they charged includes 24/7 high speed internet wifi. I'm still without internet access as I type this! 5. There are many other issues this motel has, that I will point out in a later Review.

Do NOT Go To That motel!!! They intentionally wake guests up disturbing your sleep by vacuuming the walkways (which are not carpeted) at 8am, 8:30am, 9am every morning!!! How idiotic ! If you're going to conduct loud machinery of any kind at motel's/hotel's, you do it at least after 11am if you're respectful and considerate; which clearly Danny and his wife are not! And they even bang it against the walls outside of guests doors. And, the mini fridges are not full size (freezer at top, fridge at bottom, rectangular). They're the box/square shape, and to make that worse, the rack in door that's supposed to allow for more space is missing the rack bar that should go across to hold your groceries in; therefore you can't use that part of the mini fridge (you have even less space). Most motels provide the mini fridges that have freezer on top the tall mini fridges). This motel is too overpriced to not have those, so that guests can store the groceries they need to have. Equally bad; they don't have coffee pots in the rooms like other Motel 6 locations do. Horrible! It's not worth it to book this Ridgecrest Motel 6! The rooms should not be priced more than $45 per night before tax!

This is one of the better Motel 6's, recently renovated and well-run. This chain does not always have a comfortable, cushioned chair, but my room had one. Bonus points for a full bathtub. It's a good, cheap room.

This is my go-to hotel when I visit Ridgecrest. I've stayed here 5 times now. I tried one other hotel in town and came right back to Motel 6. The staff at this property are extremely friendly, I feel safe as a solo traveler, and there is always parking and coffee in the lobby in the morning. The rooms are simple, which is perfect for me. They have a bed, great TV/wifi, a desk to work from, A/C, linens, a blowdryer, and an iron/board. They don't have shampoo/conditioner in the room and coffee/tea is in the lobby versus the room, which both work great for me. Highly recommend!
