the best you can ask for at a low rate. they do not have complimentary breakfast so there is no reason to jack up the prices. the rooms are clean and the staff is so kind and helpful. There dogs make sure to say hello to you. but not to fear there like teddy bears. i couldn't have asked for a better place. not a corporate place. just a real place.

It is a two level motel. Has no identification sign in the front and no lobby. My room was decent size and had a small microwave, minifridge, coffee maker and TV. The channel I picked cut out frequently. The heater never came on. It had a small desk with one chair. A bar is next door and a pizza place within easy walking distance.

My husband and I stayed at this motel as it got some decent reviews & the pics didn't look too bad. Well the owners must have had their family/friends write the positive reviews & they must have had a friend to help photoshop their pics. My husband checked us in & said the couple working in the office argued with each other the entire time. He was told we were one but when we got there the room key protector said 102. We went back downstairs to 102 but the key didn't work. My husband had to go back to the office and was told that it was a different room & the guy checking us in had written the wrong # on the key protector. Back to the original room we went & finally got in the room. The a/c & heater wall unit said to use the thermostat but the thermostat wasn't working. After several attempts, back to the office my husband went. The guy at the desk said to use the thermostat, not the wall unit. Duh!! What do you think we've been doing??!! My husband said the guy was annoyed but said he would be there shortly. Meanwhile my husband figured out that the wall unit worked instead of the thermostat. The guy showed up looking unkempt and out of it. My husband told him he got the wall unit to work. The guys said something like "Oh yeah, this is one of the rooms that you have to use the wall unit"! Well that would have been good information to have! The room was in need of a deep cleaning. The stay was a nightmare from start to finish! Stay in Garberville! They have much nicer motels.

nice hotel in a great location.after riding the avenue of giants all afternoon it was great to be able to stop for the evening. nice rooms good AC. we were recommended to go to debs for dinner. great food. would stay here again

It is not Ritz. but if you go to Redwoods - nice and afordable place to stay, much better than so called "resort" in same town. Just nothing wrong, refrigerator, microwave, TV, WiFi - everything was working. Good bathroom products. Cute little town, I liked pizza place near - food was amazing. The hotel staff was very friendly, and I forgot the battery and the charger when left - they mailed it to me, thank you.
