Koi ponds waterfalls and lagoons keep the sound and sight of water ever present at Dinah's Garden Hotel which delights our guests with its strong sense of individuality. This 129-room low-slung hotel on seven acres was founded by a world explorer with deep roots in Palo Alto. His daughter took over in 2009 maintaining the eclectic charm and phenomenal gardens that are planted with ferns grasses cherry trees bougainvillea and various native plants so something is always in bloom. Rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows free Wi-Fi cable TV sitting areas and comfortable beds. No two rooms are alike so you might opt for a Bali-themed room or a room with dark wood-sculpted African icons Southwestern chic or a Parisian salon. The hotel provides free continental breakfast and free newspapers. Even the business center is relaxing more like a gallery than a workplace with art adorning the walls and a gleaming tile floor. The outdoor heated pool hot tub and patio area is relaxing and secluded. Fitness facilities are located both inside and out and massage services are available. The on-site restaurant brings together Polynesian European Asian and American tastes and the poolside grill serves breakfast and lunch. Parking is free and pets are welcome with some restrictions. Dinah's Garden Hotel is less than four miles from downtown Palo Alto and Stanford University. There's a Caltrain station one-and-a-half miles away that will whisk you to top attractions in San Francisco or San Jose. San Jose International Airport is 14 miles from the hotel and San Francisco International Airport is 25 miles.
