Country Inn Walker

Stayed here for New Years Eve in a handicap accessible room. The shower wasn't a roll in shower, but still very accommodating(built in shower chair and plenty grab bars) Very friendly staff, breakfast area well stocked and rooms and common areas very clean. Highly recommend!

This facility is within walking distance (<2mi) along a lakeside road of all the attractions, dining and shopping in Walker, including the City Park and swimming area on Leech Lake. The Inn is very close to several well-liked biking trails in Cass County, MN and there were many "wheel warriors" staying here during our stay, including two of our group. Note there is no bike lock-up on premises (although I heard the staff may have a few spots in one of their storage areas) so you may have to keep your bike in your room if you don't want to leave it on your car. The parking lot is well-lit and seems to have enough spaces - if the full-size pickups would park between the lines and not on top of them. There are two spaces where a vehicle towing a trailer can park. We had multiple sleeping rooms for a family gathering from across the US. Rooms fine and clean with clean, working microwaves and mini-fridges. Pool reported to be OK and was well-used by the small members. (Pool restricted to 18+ after 10PM) Snack bar open & free, available 3-8 pm, with nuts, cereals, chocolate bits, etc. Breakfast had actual protein (eggs, yogurt, sometimes sausage) in addition to several fruits and the usual waffle maker, bread, bagels, mini-muffins with butter, jellies and cream cheese available so everyone in the group (some allergies and dietary restrictions) found something to eat. Staff coordination of and patience with our group and their varying reservations was excellent. We also requested use of the meeting room (which is part of the breakfast dining room & behind locked doors until breakfast) for two, family buffet eating events. Management was helpful, courteous and supportive of our use. The meeting room was clean and spacious with lots of natural light (in some places the "meeting rooms" are sequestered in rooms without any natural light) and had a variety of table sizes with well-padded chairs, and a few lounge chairs. There was a tv in the room that we didn't use. Five stars for the fabulous staff support and value for the money. We will, definitely, re-book for the next gathering in this area.

This hotel has a nice pool, whirlpool, comfy clean rooms, and decent breakfast. The little touches like the black washcloth for makeup were unexpected & thoughtful, as was the granola bar in the afternoon/evening. Munching on chocolate chips always improves everything. The best part, however, is that the staff is just so nice. This will be the only hotel I’ll stay at in the future.

What a nice motel, Very clean! The Northwoods vibe is great. We enjoyed the complimentary afternoon trail mix bar after a long journey. The breakfast was really good too. The little touches like the rubber duck in the bathroom and free postcard on the dresser were so sweet! Should we have to travel to this part of the state again in the future, we would definitely stay here.

Very clean and quiet with attentive and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again. Bikes were stored in a locked room, and the trail is just past the driveway. Breakfast was a bit insufficient compared to other hotels I've stayed at, but I wasn't there for the food.
