First Class Historical Hotel. (exterior) The hotel is located on 4.5 acres, consisting of eleven buildings surrounded by beautiful gardens and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Parts of the hotel date from 1824, when it was the hacienda of the last Spanish diplomat to california. (lobby) The lobby is medium size. (general) The Casa Munras Resort is a charming property in a prime location. It makes for a great base for exploring the Monterey peninsula and the surrounding california coastline. Hotel was renovated in 1996. Taken from brochure and ohg 3/6/99.
