Sheraton San Jose Hotel

The positives: nice, quiet location, very polite and personable staff, LOTS of storage in our king suite, very much appreciated; the makeup mirror in the bathroom, lovely pool area and grounds; the ability to have breakfast in The Bistro when the Club Lounge was not available. Cons: shower/bath needs in Room 501 needs updating, hard to get into and the faucet doesn't work properly; the eggs in the Club Lounge were inedible; the pillows were fairly flat; this is the biggest Con for me: the no-smoking policy is not being enforced properly. There were cigarette fumes coming in through the vents in our bathroom causing me to have serious allergic and asthmatic reactions all four nights I was there, making it next to impossible to sleep.

The location is ok if you have a car. If your going to a convention and what to save on a Hilton,and the rooms nice, but starting to look very old, great place to stay with a 15-20 Min drive to the convention centre. Nice Pool and setting. The Reception is very slow and not well trained, however once your in the Internet works well, restaurant is nice, however room service stops at 10 or 11pm . Reasonable Value, with not the normal amount of sheraton polish.

I really like this hotel. It’s always priced well and the service is excellent. It’s only 10 minutes from the San Jose airport so you can take a ride share and get there with $15 - the service is really excellent. The staff is accommodating and warm. I always get upgraded here (my go to place in Silicon Valley). The rooms are large and the beds and sheets are comfortable. As a Marriott elite member, I get to go to the lounge and the breakfast and happy hour services are great! There’s also a restaurant in the hotel so it’s very convenient. It’s an excellent business hotel and exceptional value!

I've stayed here a couple times and each time this place gets worse. There is always something broken (pool, ice machines, entrance door, restaurant kitchen) the lounge offerings are so minimal they should just close it, and the property as a whole is so dilapidated it seems like the owners just plan on running it completely into the ground. The staff is nice and the rooms seem clean, but the place needs a lot of help.
