This place could've been a 5 star review, however, there were a few things that were an issue. The check in was great. The woman who checked us in was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious and very nice. There were plenty of towels that were provided as well. I'll start off with the issues and then go one by one on how of if they were remedied. 1. The heater was extremely loud and kept us up at night 2. We were in room 128 and the wifi was absolutely terrible- extremely spotty 3. I asked them to clean my room every day, because they will not clean it unless you request it, which I did a second time, because you can't be too sure. The second day we came back from skiing at about 2:30 and it was not cleaned. 4. Since I had very spotty wifi in the room and had to work, I used their beautiful seating/resting area near the lobby, but the next evening it was blocked off for a "ticketed" event. 1. I complained to the front desk about the heater. They said that they would send someone over to fix it. The heater was never fixed. 2. I complained about the spotty wifi twice! The young lady at the front desk gave me the same response twice. "Really? We're not getting any complaints about the wifi. I'll have them reboot it." The second time I complained, she offered to move me to the room directly across from our room, but I didn't want to take a chance as the proximity was so close and she couldn't tell me where the modem and router were. 3. They offered to clean the room, but we were so tired from our day of skiing, that I just requested a towel swap and removal of trash, which they did. 4. When I asked about going in their seating area to work, they said that I had to buy a ticket to enter the special event. I didn't want to participate in the event. I just needed to work a little. If this hotel did just a little bit more to make sure their guests feel like they are being taken care of, they would receive more 5 stars. The hotel is nice. It's not extra fancy, but it has so many great attributes. It's a shame.

Was up in Mammoth with friends after a 20 year hiatus and we stumbled across the best new gem: The Lobby Wine Bar at Outbound Mammoth! This is a must visit for all, especially wine aficionados. It is hosted by an award winning Advanced Sommelier! His name is Chip Ermish and this dude is incredible. In addition to his most discerning palate, profound knowledge of ALL wines, he is a riot! He is not pretentious nor boastful, just a witty bloke from Queens that loves wine, people and laughs. He even hooked us up with a shop back in San Diego to get some of his recommendations locally. We were all held in absolute fascination with his great stories as the hour or two we spent there just flew by! It was our last night in Mammoth and we had to get back to the house to grill up dinner. We all cannot wait to return and hoist a special glass of wine curated by Chip and hear more amazing stories. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Chip, the Somm at the wine bar, literally made our whole trip special and unforgettable. I also loved the crepe truck for breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay here again, very friendly staff all around. We enjoyed the hot tub, but unfortunately ran out of time to explore the steam room.

Outbound Mammoth is a true gem with incredible customer service. Leslie at the front desk was so kind and helpful when there was an annoying beeping happening outside our room. And Chip the Somm at the wine bar… I truly think is a new dear friend. What an incredible, funny, generous and knowledgeable human. He will pour you a glass of exceptional wine and spin you an immensely engaging story while he’s at it. Thank you for such a unique experience! The hotel is great and newly renovated. Amazing crepe and coffee truck in the parking lot. Only complaint was the pillows! Next time I’ll bring my own because I’ll definitely be back.

We had a great stay at Outbound Mammoth, only wish we stayed more nights to take advantage of more of the amenities but we’ll definitely book again for future visits. The fireplace suite is spacious and cozy - the rainfall shower and deep tub combo is such a nice luxury to have after a day on the slopes, and then putting on one of the plush bathrobes and getting cozy in front of the fire is the best way to end the day. Onsite bars and restaurant and a sommelier. Highly recommend!
